The Fortunate Ones Part 2

Elsewhere in space another dimensional tear had opened. A tear that had a massive ship coming through it. A ship that was none other than the Zenith Carrier zord.

However this Zenith Carrier Zord was different from any others that were known of. For this one had one occupant aboard. An occupant who slept restlessly, reliving memories as she dreamt.

Memories not so good.

She had looked up at the senior members of the Order. Evil Q, Destructor, Stygian, Zanzibar. All of them looked down with distain.

You have failed the Order Trakeena. Zanzibar had said. Your last mission against the Galaxy Rangers left you defeated and humbled, and you were in a form that supposedly would have made you invulnerable.

Trakeena nodded. She had stepped into the cocoon her father had prepared for her that would have shed her mortal beauty giving her much power. And she sought to use that power against the Red Galaxy Ranger. Unfortunately for her the power wasn’t enough. Trakeena was defeated and reverted back to a half human/half insect form.

It is clear that you are still weak. One would have thought that merging with Deviot and taking the cocoon’s power would have increased your skill. But instead Destructor didn’t say anything more. He let the contempt in his voice say all he wanted to say.

I beg forgiveness. Trakeena said in pleading. I know I failed in my mission to destroy the Red Galaxy Ranger

SILENCE!!! Destructor boasted. The Galaxy Rangers were among the last Rangers left alive. Destroying him would surely have demoralized the remaining Rangers, and destroyed these other Ranger teams appearing as well. But you were defeated. And there is only one penalty. Trakeena shuddered knowing what Destructor had planned for Trakeena’s punishment-death.

Wait. Evil Q said. Let’s have a little fun first.

Destructor seemed intrigued. Fun? Of what sort.

Well we know she is part human. What if she didn’t have that anymore? Evil Q asked. Destructor considered the possibilities, and thought that Evil Q might have a point. Trakeena was half human and was exposed to humans when she stole their beauty. Some of their traits might have rubbed off on her, and Destructor thought it would have been a good idea to separate those traits from her.

Are you suggesting a sort of exorcism? Destructor asked?

Why not? Evil Q asked as he looked down at Trakeena. We pulled out Deviot didn’t we? Who’s to say there’s nothing else there? Trakeena looked up wondering what they were talking about. She didn’t have time to answer her own question as Destructor fired a burst of energy at her which filled her entire being. AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! she screamed as her whole body was on fire as she felt herself being pulled apart, literally. The more Trakeena screamed, the more the pain started to grow as she felt her very essence, her very being, her very soul split apart as if being ripped in two.

Inside the energy field Trakeena started to convulse as a form started to break away from her body. This form was human with dark brown hair, and a face much like Trakeena’s, in fact it was Trakeena’s. Unlike Trakeena however she wore a red outfit with mini-skirt and red pumps. Clearly this was the form Trakeena used when she assumed human form and stole the beauty from many of Terra Venture’s citizens, including Kendrix and Maya.

Finally after one big explosion of power the two Trakeena’s broke away. Laying on the floor was the human Trakeena and the Trakeena everyone knew. She had on her green insect’s crown and wore her insect like outfit with claws seemingly around her chest, her boots pulled up by leggings and her hands seemed to have Freddy Kruger like claws protruding from them. Clearly the insect Trakeena had a sinister look about her compared to the human Trakeena who appeared to have much softer features.

I will see if this one is worthy. Destructor said pointing to the insect Trakeena as he teleported heraway leaving the human Trakeena in the pit with the Order looking down on her.

What do we do with her? Zanzibar asked as he, and others, looked down leering at the human Trakeena. Stygian thought that she would be of good use in the prison asteroid granting ‘services’ to the prison guard as well as the population. Or maybe even the other troops.

Destructor looked down at the human Trakeena. He had thoughts on the pleasures she could have given his troops, but as he looked at his fellow Order members he then thought that too many ‘indulgences’ would threaten the focus of those troops, despite the human Trakeena’s perceived ‘ability’ to grant some of those indulgences. The major concern however was that if the human Trakeena was anything like her monstrous counterpart then she was dangerous in her own right. Best she was disposed of and disposed of now.

Space her out an airlock. Destructor ordered. A pair of Tek’Latha carried the human Trakeena out of the chamber for her to meet her death.

Are you sure of this Destructor? Stygian asked.

I’m sure. She could well be a liability. Besides I don’t sense the aura of evil that I do from the one we already have. Destructor waved his hand and looked at the bug like Trakeena. He saw her laying in a bed in medlab also unconscious. Destructor however looked at her through the image provided and saw the evil aura still surrounding her. Besides, one could get trapped if there are too many indulgences.

The evil council looked at the image of the insect Trakeena when a scientist appeared looking over Trakeena’s readings. When Destructor demanded a report the scientist immediately replied. Her life signs are stablizing. There is a slight flux in her bio signs but it is stablizing. She should be awake soon.

We shall be visiting her soon. Destructor said. Soon the whole council stood and made their way to the med lab. Stygian stood by Destructor’s side and gave his thoughts on killing the human Trakeena.

You’re probably right. Stygian said turning to look at Destructor in agreement. Besides we have our own mission to accomplish. We don’t need the distractions over indulgences can provide. Everyone then agreed with Stygian as they entered the med lab where the insect Trakeena was resting.

How soon until she awakes? Destructor asked.

Shouldn’t be too long. The scientist said as he turned to see if she needed any help. To their surprise the insect Trakeena had awakened quickly.

Trakeena? Evil Q asked.

I am fine. The insect Trakeena had said. In fact I am better than fine. The senior members of the order listened to Trakeena speak and sensed maliciousness and evil behind the voice. Evil she immediately demonstrated by using one of her claw like fingers to slash the scientist’s throat and send him down dead. Trakeena then reared back her head and laughed as if she got an adrenaline rush from the deed, or a perverse sense of pleasure.

Destructor couldn’t help but look at Trakeena as she got out of bed and stood over her victim. A smile plastered on her face. Clearly the separation was a good thing for her, for it split her from the spark of humanity that remained within her.

The Order all smiled as they realized that they had the Trakeena they wanted. One unshackled by humanity, and totally embraced by evil.

The mind of the human Trakeena was a fog. Memories all a jumble, actions taken in the past, a feeling started to come from them, something she had never felt before, something she had no name to describe.

Something that hurt. All Trakeena could think of on this feeling was that ‘it felt bad. ‘

~ What’s happening? Why do I hurt? I don’t feel so good. ~ were her first coherent thoughts as consciousness started to come forth.

Further away in her mind the human Trakeena heard voices. Voices sneering as she felt awareness coming closer to her. Or rather her going closer to it. She needed to escape the bad feelings. She couldn’t deal with them. But as she got closer to the voices her mind could make them out better, and what they intended.

Man she looks tasty doesn’t she? one voice said.

Oh yeah. Another said. Do you think we can

Take some liberties? Why not she’s going to be dead anyway. What say we have some fun. The other voice said. An awareness was starting to flash in the human Trakeena’s mind. An awareness that told what these two intended, and it wasn’t good. She tried to call upon her insect abilities and power, but for some reason she could not activate those powers. They didn’t exist anymore. ~ My powers! Where did they go?~ she asked herself, scared about the loss of her powers. She didn’t even have time to wonder what happened to them when one of the voices gave her the answer.

You know I like her better this way. The first voice said. I don’t think we could have fun with her if she was a bug.

Amen. Human girls are much more fun. The other voice said. And right away the human Trakeena knew what had happened to her, even if she couldn’t believe it.

She was human. One hundred percent total human.

~ Can it be? Me, human?~ As her vision started to focus she caught a glimpse of her captors and the looks they had in their eyes. She had to escape, and quickly. ~ But how? How can I without my powers?~

It was then that the human Trakeena realized that she was not helpless, as her instincts kicked in and adrenaline rushed through her as she brought her legs forward and tripped her guards down to the hard metal floor. When they hit, their bells were clearly rung.

The Tek’Latha quickly recovered to see the human Trakeena standing, barely. She was still somewhat dazed but enough of her instincts were coming to the surface to realize that the two mercenaries were a serious threat, the bad feelings also took a back seat compared to the two mercenaries looking to harm her. She took up a fighting stance that seemed weak, and the Tek’Latha seemed to know it as they sneered about how pitiful the stance was.

Awww doesn’t she look cute? the first one said. The second one sneered in agreement. Then they approached her. The human Trakeena then brought her leg up and kicked the first mercenary in his unmentionables while she grabbed the second and sent his head crashing down to the floor with a headlock driven all the way to the ground. Both mercenaries were down for the count, but the second seemed to recover first.

The second Tek’Latha looked up at the human Trakeena, all the way up her leg to her face. Trakeena looked down at her escort and knew what he was thinking. Take a good look, because this is the last you’ll ever see of this. She then gave a kick to the mercenary and turned to see more Tek’latha coming her way. The human Trakeena had to escape, so she ran down the corridor as fast as she could go.

It was as she ran that the human Trakeena realized something, she didn’t feel the evil rush she usually felt whenever she hurt someone. In fact, she felt almost sorry for what she did. Like she didn’t want to hurt anyone anymore, even if they did want to hurt her. ~ What’s wrong with me?~ she thought to herself as she suddenly saw herself in a reflected deck panel. Pausing briefly she looked at her new features with shock.

Her face was still hers, not highlighted by make up or any insect like aspects anywhere. Her hair was brown, full of body and shoulder length. She looked exactly like she did when she boarded Terra Venture and stole the beauty of many of the young girls on it. Only this time the beauty she saw was all her own. The human Trakeena ran her fingers across her face taking in her features in total disbelief. ~ Is that me?~ she asked herself briefly before the sound of footsteps drove her to resume her flight away from the Tek’Latha.

The human Trakeena continued to run down the corridor. Guards and mercenaries in close pursuit. The loading bays were cut off so there was no way for her to get to a ship to escape in.

~ But an escape pod. ~ she thought as she looked at the section she was in and realized that there was a pod nearby. Running as fast as her legs could carry her the human Trakeena made her way to where a pod was close by if her memory was correct.

Finally she found one and ducked in as the mercenaries were coming. ~ Launch codes. Launch codes. ~ she said to herself trying to sort through the mess that was her memory hoping to find out the launch codes to the pods. She suddenly remembered parts of one code, punched it in, and struggled to remember the rest.

Once the numbers came to her the pod door opened and the human Trakeena quickly ducked inside then sealed the hatch as the launch sequence was initiated. All the Tek’latha could do was watch as the pod broke away from the massive ship sending it’s sole occupant out among the vast reaches of space.

Destination: Unknown

The human Trakeena flew among the stars with no direction. No way to steer the pod as it sailed for what would be the nearest habitable planet. She was alone.

Alone with her thoughts, which came to the fore after the escape.

Thoughts she didn’t want to have.

She remembered it all. All her sins. All the pain she caused. All the evil she had done.

And the remorse threatened to crush her.

She remembered the attack on Peridon 5, where she massacred the population when they wouldn’t pay homage to her. She remembered the slave transports where the pleas of the slaves fell on her own deaf ears, ears that were deaf no longer. So much evil, and no pleasure this time, only sorrow.

Trakeena looked at her reflection in the transparent lens, the obvious sign of her change, and then fell to the floor of the escape pod sobbing, praying to all the gods in the universe to take her life right there, and right now.

They did not answer her request.

Her pod however made its way to another planet. It seemed habitable, but Trakeena was too wrapped up in her grief to notice. The pod was caught in the planet’s gravity and went into free fall.

She wandered the planet in a daze, alone and lost in a world of her own. Her sense of reality shattered.

Through it all she remembered countless attacks, countless worlds lost and destroyed, all by her hand. Families ripped apart, homes lost to her power. She heard the cries and the suffering, cries she dismissed with evil insane laughter, or even a slight chuckle.

But now there was no laughter. No tears of joy at the suffering she caused. Tears came surely, but they were not the tears of evil joy she was used to crying. No this time she cried tears of despair. ~ Oh by all that’s holy it hurts! It hurts so much!~ she thought to herself realizing that this was most likely the first time she had ever prayed to the beings of goodness in her lifetime.

Remorse filled the human Trakeena’s being, and her soul seemed to be unable to take it. Before long she became aware of one thing, her scream filling the night air as her own pain became mixed in with that of her victims. She screamed for a long time, and even when she stopped it seemed like she could scream some more.

It was then that Trakeena thought about ending her life. ~ Yes, end my life. And I end the pain. ~ she thought to herself as she made her way to a cliff ledge ready to jump. But when she made it over the ledge she stopped when she saw something in front of her. Something she remembered long ago.

It was shaped like a giant shark. She remembered Deviot showing her the Zords when he came into her service. Also there were two other zords which were converted Galactabeasts, and Trakeena knew who this zord was.

Zenith? she asked herself. What’s it doing here? She also saw the Stratoforce and Centaurus Megazords nearby and in pieces. Again she wondered how those got there, especially since last time she checked they were on Mirinoi’s moon, and in pieces thanks to her Stingwingers packing bombs.

Her questions were soon interrupted as she felt a chill in the air, and knew that she would have to find someplace to keep warm. As she looked around the only things in the area were the Megazord parts and the Zenith itself. Ouickly she realized that there was only one option before the cold hit.

It was hard to imagine a UAE villainess dependent on the Rangers for survival. But there she was. She looked at Centaurus and Stratoforce for parts she could use to help make Zenith a livable shelter and she found a few parts she could use for heating.

Soon the shelter was compete and Trakeena found a blanket that she could wrap around herself. As she got ready to sleep she thought of her current predicament. She was on a barren world, surrounded by Zords that were totally in pieces with no idea how they got there, she was haunted by memories she lived before but never with remorse, and she figured that she would not get a good nights sleep tonight. Even with a fire lit near her side.

Somewhere in the mess of memories and emotions the human Trakeena realized that she forgot to continue her suicide. ~ I’ll do it tomorrow. she said to herself as she wrapped the blanket around herself then closed her eyes to sleep. As she slept she was hoping that she would never wake up. But when she had her first nightmare she then wished that she could, but she slept the whole night in sorrow and tears.

As time went on Trakeena kept forgetting to take her own life as she was evaluating the technology the Zenith provided. It was on the third day of Trakeena’s exile that she had discovered what was happening in the outside universe, and she didn’t know what to think of it.

The UAE was attacking a Space Colony, and she was leading the attack.

How? How can I be there and here as well? she asked herself. The human Trakeena looked at her counterpart, and saw the sadistic glee she took in her destructive rampage. She took pleasure in others’ pain, delight in others’ suffering, relish in the conquest of the world before her. The human Trakeena looked at her counterpart, and saw who she used to be. And somewhere inside her being the human Trakeena wondered if that was who she wanted to be again.

~ The pain doesn’t bother her. Maybe she can make mine go away. ~ she thought as a sense of resolve filled her being. She had to get up there. But how?

Then she looked at the Zenith as well as the remains of the Stratoforce and Centaurus. ~ No way could it be pulled off. Could it?~

Deciding that she had nothing left to lose she began trying to get the Zenith, Centaurus and Stratoforce in working condition. Right away she knew the work to be hard, even harder than Villimax’s training. She had to figure out ways to lift parts, fitting connections, even attempted to build a crane from tree logs and cables she found nearby so she could move the parts into a manageable configuration. Her clothes were long since destroyed but she was able to find a set of black coveralls with the Terra Venture logo on them as well as some hiking boots with traction which beat the pumps she wore before.

Also present was an E. S. B. (Emergency Schematic Blueprint) which was apparently left when the Zord was cyber converted. The book was helpful to Trakeena as she tried to figure out the technology better. Once she had enough understood she then went to work on as much as she could. One of the systems being the self repair program. Once that was reactivated the work got considerably lighter, even if there was still much left to do.

Her work continued, but she wondered why she was doing this action. She didn’t consider evil ambitions. For some reason those didn’t appeal to her any more. That was when she heard the call.

The call of a bird, looking up Trakeena saw a black bird hovering overhead. Its size was like those of the Galactabeasts, and it was as black as night. She wondered where it came from even though she knew what it was. The bird was a raven.

And it wanted her to follow.

Trakeena did so as she came over the mountain ridge looking down in a crater, and saw something unbelievable once again. So much so that when she went down for a closer look her disbelief was only magnified.

A Quasar saber? What’s it doing here? Shouldn’t it be on Mirinoi? she asked herself aloud as she stared at the sword in its own stone. Suddenly she found herself reaching out for it and not knowing why. She suddenly found her hand around it’s hilt and the human Trakeena was wide eyed with shock.

What am I doing? she asked again forgetting everything else. Her attention was clearly focused on the sword. It was then that she gave an effort and soon the sword was pulled out of the stone. Trakeena looked at the saber she held in her hand, and shock didn’t even cover the look on her face. How? Was all she could say.

That was when the raven appeared again, and beckoned her to follow one last time. Trakeena then looked down at her saber again and noticed the animal on it.

It was a raven.

Trakeena knew she had to follow the raven.

The raven led her back to the site of the downed zords. Hovering it looked down at the human Trakeena as if waiting for something. She wondered what, but then she held her sword up into the air as if knowing what to do next. From the sword a black glow emanated and spread down throughout her body. She felt herself transform and fill with power as her clothes changed. No longer was she in the black rags she used to wear. What she wore now, almost made her do a double take.

She wore a Ranger uniform.

A Galaxy Ranger uniform

A black Galaxy Ranger uniform.

What sort of joke is this? Black Galaxy asked herself. Who in their right mind would think me a Power Ranger? Did some god think I look good in black and want to cop a woody or something?

Black Galaxy gave no answer as the sword continued to glow in her hands. Somewhere the sword touched her mind as if some spirit told her what to do. Then she released the sword letting it fly into the sky where it hovered. The sword then seemed to communicate with Black Galaxy’s instincts as it sent a message into her mind what it intended to do, with her permission.

Black Galaxy considered what the sword intended and knew the raven hovering was responsible. As she gave a nod telling the sword that it was okay to do what it planned Black Galaxy looked at the Stratoforce and Centaurus Megazords that were magically reassembled then down at the systems of the Zenith as the swords power brought them back to life. Now for some real Ranger power. She said.

Raising her hand into the air again a transdaggar appeared and she jumped onto the Raven’s back triggering the zord transform. The Raven then became a solid black zord with a streamlined look. It was then that the raven then spoke to her.

Hello dark knight. The Raven said to her.

D Dark Knight? Black Galaxy said. Why do you call me that?

Because that’s what you are now. The raven answered. You are no longer a monster surely, but you are not an angel either. Hence the term ‘Dark Knight’.

Yeah well I want to know what all this is about. Why are these zords here, what is this saber doing here, and why could I pull it out? Black Galaxy asked straight out. The raven didn’t seem to be intimidated by Black Galaxy’s tone of voice.

The blade was always yours. The Raven answered. It was your monstrous aspect that kept you from claiming that which was yours. An aspect Scorpius sought to nurture cutting you off from your path.

What? Are you saying I was meant to be good? That’s a laugh. Next thing you’ll say is that everything is meant to be good. Black Galaxy then let out a couple of chuckles but the Raven did not join in. When Black Galaxy found out she was laughing alone she then heard the raven speak again.

Whether you choose the side of good or not is your decision. The Raven answered. For now all you need to know is that this blade, and these zords are yours. And your path is clear.

And what path is that? Black Galaxy asked.

I fear you will never know until you meet your monstrous self again. The raven answered as Trakeena looked confused. Then, and only then will the answer be aware to you. But be aware of this. Once you meet your monstrous self again it will be the first of many engagements that will come.

The first of many? Trakeena asked.

That is the hand fate dealt you. The raven said. To face your darker nature until the time of the final conflict when the time of redemption or damnation will be chosen for you. When you face her for the last time.

Wait. Redemption? Why do I want that? Black Galaxy asked.

You may not, but do you wish damnation? the raven asked. The human Trakeena knew the answer to that question was a resounding ‘no. ‘ Are you ready? the Raven then asked. Black Galaxy nodded slightly. The only answer she could give at the moment.

So let your journey begin. Black Galaxy saw the Ravenzord enter the Zenith carrier followed by Centaurus and Stratoforce. The massive carrier then hovered waiting for its captain which Black Galaxy was only willing to be. She flew into the air and boarded the carrier making her way to the control bunker and supervising the Zenith’s ascent into the stars.

As Zenith blasted away from the barren planet Black Galaxy then thought that it might be a good time to change her name. Especially since now she knew she was no longer Trakeena in any sense of the word. She was different, with new powers and attitudes. She was a different person now. A person she didn’t even know, but would soon as time went on.

She couldn’t call herself Trakeena anymore, for that was not who she was now. Black Galaxy then removed her helmet and looked at her face again. She remembered when she called herself ‘Tracy’ when she last had that face. She used the name to hopefully seduce the Magna Defender Michael Corbett, a plan that failed, but the name seemed to have its uses, especially now.

~ Well a first name wasn’t too hard. What about a last?~ she thought. She remembered what the raven called her ‘Dark Knight’ and thought that would fit the bill.

Tracy Darknight, the Black Galaxy Ranger, had arrived.

And like so many times in the past she had awakened with a shock and sweat. As time went on the memories never got any easier to live with.

As she traveled throughout the dimensions she searched for a purpose in her life. A way to be whole again. But her exploits had left her incomplete. Her memories still came to her, albeit with less and less frequency, but the emotional impact they made when they did hit made up for that lack of frequency. Getting out of her bed she put on her black nightgown and fingered the Black Raven Quasar Saber that was in her possession which was hung on a wall nearby. Her hands ran across its glistening blade as its power brought a semblance of control to an already turbulent mind. Turbulent due to her own sins, and what was done to her at the hands of Evil Q, Destructor and the Order.

And as she thought about the memories of her past she cried. The impact of the memories never lessening. And did not stop for a good long time, until she sensed a presence. A presence familiar, darker, a presence very much like her own. For it was her own. Or at least a part of her own.

She’s here. The woman known only as Tracy Darknight said. My ‘sister’ is here.

Quickly realizing her location with the nav instruments Tracy made her way to where B-Flight was taking on Stasia and the Wraiths. Jolo huh? Not much happening there. At least last I checked.

Tracy went to the helm console and gunned the Zenith’s engines. Obviously something important was happening on Jolo and she wasn’t going to miss it.

Meanwhile on Jolo Stasia felt her advantage slip away as she realized all of her pilots were gone and she was alone against five Rogue pilots. Then suddenly her warning sirens blared as her systems identified a weapons lock on her fighter. Quickly she tried to pull evasive maneuvers to shake the lock, but one pilot was dead set on keeping the lock on her with the others following close behind.

Inside the fighter that had the lock on Stasia Crysta smiled. She had the traitor dead to rights. One shot would have finished her, but Dulcea said for her to hang back. Let’s make her sweat a little. She said in her helmet com. Crysta smiled as she got Dulcea’s message. ‘Let everyone get their weapons locked on her before firing. ‘ Sure enough the Rogues of B-Flight followed their leader’s orders and focused solely on Stasia.

As the Rogues ganged up on Stasia, everyone tried to get weapons lock on her now that almost all of her Wraith forces were gone. Very impressive Dulcea. I take it you and Crysta are looking to take your shots at me.

She got no answer over the intercom, but in reality she wasn’t expecting one. She did however hear the beeping in her cockpit saying that another one of the Rogues was looking to get a weapons lock on her, a lock they almost were ready to get until she saw the ship behind her get shot down and the pilot ejecting. Looking out she saw the pilot known as Plurrs land on the ground of Jolo as his chute opened landing his escape pod safely.

The other Rogues looked around to see who would be attacking them when Dulcea saw an array of aircraft come her way. We’ve got bogies! Ronox said as he tried to take in the ships coming their way. One looked like a sleek fighter jet while another looked like a super fast death ship that could come up and kill someone at a moment’s notice. Also present were a series of hovercraft led by a slightly bigger hovercraft of similar design. All came in with weapons blazing and the Rogues quickly had to take evasive action.

Ronox flew high dodging the blasts that came his way. Having a whole civilization as part of your personality increased one’s reflexes greatly, but he knew he’d have to go on the offensive against the trailing hovercraft. So to that end he took his ship into a high powered dive at full speed as the hovercraft went into pursuit. Quickly the ground came rushing towards Ronox, but he had to time this maneuver just right.

Calculating until the last second he then pulled up hard on the flight stick going high into the air. The hovercraft also tried to pull up but weren’t successful as they skidded off the ground and out of control leading to a crash landing for several of them. Ronox thought he was safely out of the way only for the larger hovercraft to spring up in his path and fire, knocking out an engine and forcing Ronox to bail out.

Ramen had his hands full with the sleek fighter jet. Despite all he tried to do he could not shake the red and silver plane that was on his tail. There is no escape! Surrender to the superior flying of Starscream! the jet roared. ~ This guy must really love to hear himself speak. ~ Ronox thought as he thought of an idea.

Cutting his engines and slamming on the brakes he let Starscream slip on by as Ronox activated his turbo lasers. Releasing a volley of laser fire in Starscream’s direction he figured the shots would connect. He could not believe his eyes when he saw Starscream dodge every shot.

What? Ronox said as Starscream came barreling towards him firing his null ray rendering all systems aboard Ronox’s ship useless. The X-wing went spiralling out of control and it took all his strength to reach the ejection handle and pull.

Despite the loss of Plurrs Crysta was dead on to Stasia’s ship. She almost had weapons lock and in a matter of seconds the Amazonian traitor would be no more. That’s it. Just fill up the circle and you are dead!

But so preoccupied was she with Stasia Crysta did not notice the ship coming behind her like cold death giving no warning. With grim precision the ship fired its weapon and Crysta’s X-wing joined the others in a fiery descent towards Jolo, and like all the other pilots Crysta ejected.

From her own TIE Stasia gloated as Crysta bailed out. You are a fool Crysta. You will never kill me.

Well then how about me? a voice said over the comm. And Stasia turned to see another X-Wing streaking towards her firing its turbo lasers. Stasia soon found the solar panels to be sheared off her ship and herself spiraling out of control much like the Rogues had with their X-Wings. And like the Rogues, Stasia bailed out.

Well that takes care of the Wraiths. Dulcea said. Now all I have to do is deal with these other goons with no back up I may add. She looked at the three ships coming her way and the hovercraft that were starting to recover. But then something blocked her field of vision. It was a monstrous dragon with big black wings and a tail with scythes launching from it that sheared the wings off Dulcea’s X-Wing. She had no time to react, and no time to be surprised as she too found her ship going into free fall and she herself had to eject.

When she set down Dulcea then went to find the members of her flight. Soon Ramen, Crysta, Plurrs, and Ronox were soon found. Crysta complained that she wasn’t the one who got Stasia and Dulcea said that they could worry about her later. Right now we have to find safety.

A little late for that. Plurrs said looking up as a vehicle approached them. It looked like a tank with a drill on it, and on the tank was a woman in black and silver armor with a star on her chest plate. The woman then jumped off the tank as the tank transformed into one of the most monstrous robots she ever met. Not even the UAE made a zord as menacing as the mechanoid before them now.

Dulcea and her flight looked up at the massive mechanoid standing above them. I am Galvatron II. You are now prisoners of the Destron Alliance. Resist and you will be executed.

NEVER!!! Ramen said as he focused his energy, gathering flames all around him. The more power he gathered the higher the flames became. Galvatron II stood off to the side taking in Ronox’s show of power and waited to see what he would do next. He didn’t have to wait long.

SUPERNOVA!!! Ronox shouted sending a burst of flame in Galvatron II’s direction. Galvatron II took the burst head on and fire seemed to surround him. As the fire circled him Galvatron II stood like an immobile statue as if the fire didn’t faze him one bit. Then the fire seemed to die out around him as Galvatron II seemingly absorbed the power of the flames into himself. He then looked down at Ronox and smirked. That hurt.

Ronox looked on in disbelief. No one had ever been able to stand against his flames before. Galvatron II then looked down at Ronox and said Now taste mine.

He then transformed into his Dragon mode and a burst of flame fired from it’s head. All the Rogues were thrown back and laid out unconscious when the blast hit. The Dragon looked over his fallen prey and then transformed back into the warrior mode of Galvatron II where he continued to look down on the fallen Rogues. Now the only question is should I execute you all now or should I wait a while?

Commandant Lard watched as the massive fleet took shape. He knew the UAE was coming, and he was going to be prepared for them.

Already 15, 000 ships had arrived with more on the way. A remarkable feat of military planning. Well executed in its assembly and it would be well executed in battle as well. With discipline and order the council would stand tall once again. Discipline and order that Commandant Lard would provide.

The Eltarian Rangers needed a little more time. Time he was not sure they would have. The line had to be assembled, and it had to be ready soon. He could taste Dark Specter breathing down his neck like a demon and his hell hounds.

Prisar came to the Commandant’s side. How soon will we be ready to go? Prisar asked.

Not long. Lard answered. We have ships coming still. The line should be ready shortly.

Their sacrifice will not be forgotten. Prisar stated. We need them to buy time for our Rangers to be reborn. Once they are reborn the UAE will be sent back to the dark realms never to return.

Lard nodded in agreement with Prisar, but then Prisar asked where Rogue Squadron was. I don’t see them. Where has our best flying squadron gone?

They are checking out disturbances on nearby planets. They should join soon enough. Lard said. He hoped Rogue Squadron would not return. ~ I don’t want those riffraff in this model of military efficiency. ~ he thought to himself. ~ I hope whatever took them away keeps them away. ~

Well here’s hoping they return soon. Prisar said as he left. Lard kept his feelings hidden as he looked out at the assembling fleet and smiled as he thought ~ I don’t need the Rogues. I only need the line. They only need my leadership. I will lead them to victory. ~

And across the galaxy Dark Specter was looking to crush Commandant Lard’s dream.
