The planet Cybertron-a marvel of technological wizardry. Not only in architecture but in its population as well.
Cybertron was the home of the Transformers. A race of robots that have existed for millions of years divided into two groups. Autobot and Decepticon. And for nine million of those years the two factions had a long and bloody war that took many lives. Not only on Cybertron-but many other planets as well. One of them being Earth.
As the war escalated, the tide turned in favor of the Autobots as the Decepticon leader Galvatron began leading his Decepticons to ruin due to his insanity. Warriors were dying due to Galvatron’s irrational raids, so much so that only a few hundred Decepticons remained out of what was once an army of thousands.
Then an unbelievable action for the Decepticons happend as Megatron’s spark separated from Galvatron. The Autobots showing mercy constructed a new body for the Decepticon leader with the Constructicons help. The body that was Galvatron was to be destroyed with the catatonic spark still inside.
When Megatron reactivated he found that his proud empire was all but gone. Decepticons were a dying breed, and with them all the beliefs and life that a Decepticon led and believed in. With great reservation, Megatron ordered the surrender of the Decepticon army. For the preservation of the Decepticon ideals, was his rationale. In hopes that one day the Decepticons would rise again. But that probably won’t happen in my lifetime. , he thought.
There were trials, threats of reprogramming and mindwipes but Optimus made an impassioned plea for the life of Megatron and many of his followers. Megatron was granted a leadership role alongside Optimus Prime of the Autobots and while some Decepticons were mindwiped, executed or granted amnesty, they were allowed to help build the strong society Cybertron was today.
Cybertron was considered now to have a race of warriors who always fought to promote peace and equality throughout the cosmos. Both Prime and Megatron were considered the main elders supported by their subordinates Fortress Maximus, Thundercracker, Soundwave, Hot Rod, Shockwave, and Ultra Magnus. But no longer were they divided by names like Autobot and Decepticon. They were now one race. One breed. United by the tiger symbol they all wore. The old Autobot and Decepticon symbols a part of history. They were now called Cybertrons named after their home planet.
But then reports came that Galvatron had been freed by a group calling themselves the United Alliance of Evil and had received sanctuary on the planet Onyx. What was worse was that many Autobots and Decepticons couldn’t go back to the peaceful lifestyle due to the taste for war many of the transformers had developed. So looking for a fight, many of the Autobots and Decepticons(including some mindwiped ones) had left Cybertron only to be recruited by Galvatron who used them to form a new army. An army called the Destrons, which was an ancient name once considered for the Decepticons but had discarded. When Galvatron saw the name he decided to use it for his new army with an insect symbol as their banner. Soon Destron attacks sprung all across the cosmos. All for no other reason than to find a fight or to destroy something.
No glory. No honor. Just destruction for no reason. , Megatron thought. It made him sick to his stomach. Sure as a leader he had been evil, but he always had a goal and a code he lived by as well as direction. Galvatron showed none of that.
“And now he has found new allies. “, Megatron said cursing himself again for allowing Unicron to turn him into the lunatic Galvatron in the first place. Optimus Prime then joined Megatron on the balcony.
“What troubles you Megatron?”, Optimus asked.
“The report that Ratbat had delivered involving Galvatron and his new allies. “, Megatron said. “Their forces continue to grow stronger and stronger, and soon we will be called upon to intercede.”
Optimus nodded. “Ratbat has indicated that he did manage to stop off to recruit Ravage and his team. Perhaps they have found allies we can use.”
“Perhaps. “, Megatron said but he still had a feeling of uneasiness running through his circuits. And from the observation dome, two former mortal enemes stood gazing at the stars. Waiting for all hell to break loose. Soundwave came onto the dome. His demeaner, even though calm and collected, still reflected a sense of distress.
“Soundwave. Report!”, Megatron ordered.
“Ratbat recently returned to the new base of Galvatron and his allies. He has new information that is of the utmost urgency.”
“Playback the information Soundwave. “, Optimus ordered. Soundwave then transformed into his cassette recorder mode and hooked up to a main viewer. On the viewer were images of Destrons being prepared for the Masterforce process. Two for Powermaster, two for Targetmaster, four for Headmaster and two for the pretender process. Also on Ratbat were the images of armies assembling as well as preparations for a mammoth machine to be present. A machine of Unicron proportions, both leaders thought.
“So Galvatron has reactivated the Masterforce technology. “, Prime said matter-of-factly. “And he’s preparing for something to arrive that definitely can’t be good.”
“Soundwave”, Megatron said. “Send Ratbat back to this base. See if he can obtain more information.”
“As you command Megatron. “, Soundwave said as he transformed and ejected Ratbat from his processor.
The man who went by the name Ravage Starkiller stood in front of the assembled rangers after he had asked for their help. “What do you mean ‘You need our help’ Ravage?”, Leo asked.
“Yeah, I thought you didn’t care much for rangers. “, a voice said revealing Tommy Oliver.
Upon seeing Tommy, Ravage scanned the room and couldn’t believe his optical sensors. For in the room stood Ashley Hammond, Cassie Chan, Andros, Carlos Vallerte, T. J. Johnson, Zhane, Karone(and a second dressed in black), Jason Lee-Scott, Kimberly Hart, Billy Cranston, Zack Taylor, Trini Kwan, Aisha Campbell, Rocky DeSantos, Adam Park, Tanya Sloane, Katherine Hillard, and Justin Stewart. All of these people he knew to be former rangers. All of whom were supposed to be dead.
“How is this possible?”, Ravage asked. “You all are supposed to be dead.
“It helps to have an in with higher powers. “, the voice of Kincaid said as he stepped forward. “As well as having friends who would be willing to sacrifice themselves for friends.”
Ravage looked on at Kincaid distrustfully as had Kincaid did with Ravage. Ravage knew just by looking at Kincaid that he was no ordinary ranger due to the way he was dressed in red and black as well as the scar running from one side of his face to the other. But right off the bat there was something about Ravage that Kincaid just didn’t like. And from the look Ravage had the feeling was mutual even though Kincaid was different from any other ranger he had ever met. “Who are you?”, the human/Decepticon asked.
“My name is Kincaid. I’m a Night Ranger. “Nine other figures stepped forward including the other Karone dressed in black and purple. Ravage assumed that this was his ranger team. Great, more resources wasted on rangers. , was Ravage’s thought. “Now who are you and what’s your problem?”, Kincaid asked.
“His name is Ravage Starkiller. “, Kai said coming forward. “He’s a cross between human and Decepticon.”
“Wait a minute. “, Ken said. “Did you just say Decepticon?”. Kai nodded.
“Wow, I never thought I’d say this but I think we’re being hated by a toy from Hasbro. “, Jessica said. The other Night Rangers chuckled at Jessica’s remark, and the Galaxy and Blunder Rangers couldn’t help but chuckle as well. Ravage looked on in confusion as to what the joke was.
“Oh well you see we’re not from around these parts. “, Alison said. “We’re from another dimension entirely.”
“And where we’re from the only thing Transformers are are toys that you can buy at Kaybee toys for $12. 99. “, Sarah said.
Ravage looked on in disbelief and insult. “How dare you insult me and my people in such a manner!”
Kincaid grabbed Ravage by his human neck and squeezed tight. “Look pal, I don’t mean to be insulting. But if you want to go around pushing buttons with an attitude like yours. Expect someone to push back as well. Comprende’?”
Ravage then converted into his Decepticon mode of a jaguar and started to snarl at Kincaid with his claws ready to add more scars to Kincaid’s face but insteadthey stared down each other. Neither gave any quarter until Kendrix broke up the festivities.
“Look I hate to break up this session of male bonding, but don’t we have more important things to worry about?”
Ravage and Kincaid looked an Kendrix meanacingly which caused Kendrix to back away for a moment. Then after one final stare down Kincaid released his grip around Ravage’s throat and Ravage put his claws away and reverted back to his human form.
“Now there’s something you don’t see every day. “, Kathy said. Kincaid went over to the bar and pulled up a chair. “All right. You said you needed our help. Make it good. And make it quick.”
Ravage looked at the rangers and began to speak. “I have returned from the base where the Order of Destruction is setting up their armada to destroy millions of universes. Evil Q has set up an army of powerful followers as well as beings of great power to assist him in his efforts of either conquest or annihilation. Many I’m sure you know. Destructor, Galvatron, as well as a few you don’t know. Some of the names passed to me were Epyon, Power Broker, Imperator. “, Kincaid clenched his fists at the mention of his old enemy’s name. Ravage seemed to notice this. “Do you know him?”
“We’ve had some…. dealings. “, Kincaid said. Ravage nodded continuing to name allies. “Tek’latha, Black Annie, One named Zanzibar.”
“ZANZIBAR?!”, Kincaid said in alarm. “He’s been found?” Ravage looked on confused. “You know him?”
Kincaid nodded. “He’s the founder of the Luciferian Empire back home. Worshipers of pure evil. The Night Rangers were created to fight them by any means necessary. But he was said to be lost eons ago.”
Ravage smirked, “Well apparently he’s been found again. And his allies have aquired Masterforce technology.”
“Masterforce technology?”, Cassie asked confused.
“Technology that allows humans or other species to ‘binary-bond’ with Transformers allowing them to become either the head, weapon, engine or alternate form for a Transformer. “, Ravage explained. “My human transformation is actually a variation of the pretender process.”
“Okay, so what does this have to do with you?”, Zhane asked.
Ravage continued. “Galvatron has recruited several UAE villians to binary bond with some of his Destron followers…”
David interrupted. “Destron? I thought Galvatron was a Decepticon.” Sorerro then spoke up. “Destrons were the name for Decepticons back in Japan.”
Ravage then snarled as if saying “No more interruptions or I will kill you. “, picking up where he left off Ravage finished his sentence not missing a beat. “The villians he had chosen were Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa, Finster, Elgar, Porto, Rygog, Divatox, Darkonda, Ecliptor, Goldar and Rito Revolto. The Destrons he has bonded them to are Scorpinok, Starscream, Mindwipe, Weirdwolf, Skullcruncher, Hardhead, Thunderwing, Darkwing, Dreadwind, Cyclonus and Scourge.”
While he would not admit it to many people Kincaid was a big Transformers fan as a kid when his parents weren’t fighting and he kept up on the different Transformers that debuted, and upon hearing the names he knew what the process would be for them. “So five Headmasters, two Targetmasters two Powermasters and two pretenders. Am I right?” Ravage nodded impressed by Kincaid’s estimation. Then Kincaid asked, “But isn’t Hardhead supposed to be an Autobot?”
Ravage nodded. “Yes, but due to the taste for warfare Hardhead developed he left Cybertron unable to go back to the peaceful life that now ruled there. He instead joined up Galvatron’s Destron army as he embarked on a mission of destruction with no benefit or course.”
“All right. “, Ashley said. “There are robots that are bonded to villians we’ve fought. What does that have to do with us?”
Ravage then smiled again. “Oh, I thought you would have picked up on that. You see, the only way to beat Transformers linked through the Masterforce is with Transformers linked to the Masterforce.”
“Wait a minute. “, T. J. said. “You want us to come with you to Cybertron and undergo these ‘Masterforce’ processes ourselves?”, T. J. asked in disbelief.
Ravage then smiled a smile that would make a shark turn and run. “Yes. After all these years, you finally are going to be useful.”
At Stygian’s domain Galvatron stood watching over the Leviathan. Amazed at the destructive potential the weapon possesed, but still not satisfied at the fact that like himself it hadn’t destroyed anything yet. I know what I can destroy, Galvatron thought with a smile. “CYCLONUS!!!”
Galvatron’s trusted lieutenent came with his Targetmaster partner Goldar, “Yes Mighty Galvatron?”
“Ready an attack force we are heading to Cybertron. “, Galvatron ordered.
Goldar and Cyclonus looked on confused. “Why Galvatron? Why do we need to attack?”
“BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!!”, Galvatron yelled as it stomped his foor onto the ground causing Cyclonus and Goldar to lose their balance and topple over. “And besides, I want to make sure the Cybertrons won’t try to match our Masterforce.”
“Will that even matter with the Leviathan?”, Cyclonus asked.
Galvatron grabbed Cyclonus by the throat and shouted in his face. “You dare question my orders? I said ready the attack force!”
“As… you…. wish… Mighty… Galvatron. “, Cyclonus said trying to get his transmission signals through his voice box. Galvatron then threw Cyclonus back and he scurried away with Goldar following behind.
“Why do you follow that fool?”, Goldar asked.
“There is more to Galvatron than just insanity. “, Cyclonus said. “And besides, I have pledged to stand by the Destron cause, and Galvatron leads that cause. I will not break that pledge for any reason.”
Goldar wondered if perhaps Cyclonus was too loyal for his own good then he and Cyclonus came into the room where the new ‘Masters’ sat recreating.
“Wasn’t it great at how Scourge and I took out that Rogue?”, Rito said. “Talk about style.”
“Hey, I’ve done good too. “, Elgar said. “Weirdwolf and I helped drive off those Rogues down the hall along with Ned.”
“Uhhh, Elgar it’s Zedd. “, Rito said.
Zedd turned to Rito and shouted at the top of his voice box “IT’S ED!!! E. D. “, then Zedd caught himself and if he wasn’t red already he would have been blushing.
“Do you mind some of us are trying to get beauty sleep. “, Rita said from her bed which came from her lunar palace, but her sleep was about to be interrupted again.
Cyclonus’s voice boomed into the room. “Galvatron orders us to prepare for an attack.
“An attack?”, Rita shrieked, and due to the sound of her voice it sounded like Starscream was speaking as well. “We have ultimate power in the universe. Why do we need to attack?”
“Galvatron believes the rangers will try to figure out a way to stop us. He wants that threat neutralized. “, Cyclonus said. Mentally he added At least I hope that’s what Galvatron is thinking.
“Galvatron may have a point. “, Zedd said. “All too often the rangers had come back by way of some miracle or another. Perhaps we should nip it in the bud now while we have the chance.”
The other villians agreed and left to make ready their Binary bond partners except for Rita and Divatox who shouted “TRANSFORM: GET ON!!!”, to become Starscream and Thunderwing.
“Galvatron had better be right. “, Thunderwing cursed. “My host is very irratable when she doesn’t get her beauty sleep.”
“Like any amount of sleep would make your host beautiful. “, Starscream said with a smart-alec attitude.
“Watch yourself Starscream or I’ll do worse to you than what Galvatron had done. “, Thunderwing said making reference to when Galvatron blew Starscream away.
“Just try it!”, Starscream shouted as the two Destrons started fighting with each other. Goldar and Cyclonus looking on.
“You know, I think their partners are starting to rub of on them. “, Cyclonus said making reference to Rita and Divatox’s influence on Starscream and Thunderwing. Goldar chuckled agreeing as they watched Starscream and Thunderwing continue to fight.
The rangers then all got onto their vehicles with Ravage riding in the humvee. He gave them a direction to follow and the rangers all followed his lead. For many of them mixed feelings were running through their minds. Many of them wanted to get back at Evil Q and the monsters for killing them, but do they want it at the expence of their own humanity.
Would we still be human? was the question running through many of the ranger’s minds. Even though it was clear that not all of them would be part of the Masterforce. Most likely the former rangers would be the ones chosen.
After driving for hours they came across their destination. The zord hangar bays where Rogue Squadron were busy repairing their damaged ships with parts salvaged from the old command center and Power Chamber. “Hey what are you doing?”, Billy said as he saw Ace loading a component on his ship.
“Fixing my ship man. What do you expect me to do?”, Ace said.
“You put that back. That’s not your property that’s the property of the council of Eltar. “, Billy said. But unfortunately a punch from Rouge Ranger as well as a few kicks to the chest made Billy realize that he said the wrong thing. Jason, Kendrix, Adam and Rocky tried to get Rogue Ranger off but Ravage raised his arm calling off the silent masked man.
“You should probably know. “, Unia Meille said. “We don’t think too highly of the council. Or of rangers for that matter. And since the council is no longer around, anything of their’s that’s found automatically is considered ‘finders keepers’.”
“The council has been destroyed. “, Diamondback said. “And for us Rogues. We couldn’t be happier.”
Some of the rangers looked confused then Ravage explained. “When the time came to deal with the evil in the universe, Zordon proposed the idea of Ranger teams over council military. While they had taken on monsters and had so much support, the military was left with next to nothing and was all but annihilated. Zordon never reversed his decision, and many people died just so he could have his rangers.”
Many rangers looked on in disbelief but Kincaid looked at Ravage and said, “Sounds like this Zordon was a real jackass. Not like the one I knew.”
Ravage nodded, “Yes he was. He would talk so wise and noble to his rangers sure, but when it came to council military he couldn’t give a, as you humans call it, a damn about what happened to us.”
“That’s not true!”, Andros said defiantly. Zordon knew rangers were the best defence for the galaxy.
“And look where that defence has gotten you now?”, Ravage said. “Ranger teams are all but gone-only a few scattered pockets remain. There is no council military, no peacekeeping force. They had all been destroyed by their own arrogance.”
“Sounds like the trouble we had back home. “, Jessica said. Ravage was a little curious about the blue Night Ranger’s comment. Kincaid explained.
“There were council members who didn’t want us around. “, Kincaid said. “Zordon was the only one who saw merit in us because he knew the Luciferian Empire would eat a normal ranger team for breakfast so he had a team created to do the council’s dirty work. I take it that’s what you are?”
Ravage looked at Kincaid and seemed to get a little respect for Kincaid, but not enough to get over his dislike for him and his ranger status. “Yes we were the ones that did… the dirty work as you put it.”
“Look I’m sure this conversation is great and all but don’t we have somewhere we have to be?”, Justin said. Seibercat turned to look at Ravage and nodded. “Agreed. “, the Decepticon/Human said.
The Galaxy, former, and Blunder Rangers all boarded the Rogue shuttle while the Night Rangers called forth their Zords and boarded them. The Omega Zords were called in from Lightspeed and the Lightspeed Rangers boarded those. Upon seeing the Night Zords for the first time Ravage couldn’t help but gaze in awe of them due to their atypical nature compared to regular zords. Magnificent. , he thought then he boarded his own ship and the vessels all took to the night sky.
“To Cybertron!”, Ravage called out.
“Now, I trust you two have worked out your aggression? Or at least enough of it to not be a problem to the team?”, Zedd said on top of Scorpinok looking down at Starscream and Thunderwing. Both Destrons nodded not saying anything. Then Galvatron addressed his army.
“Good, now Transform and prepare to board my ship. “, Galvatron ordered and Galvatron’s new army of Destron Masters transformed and boarded Galvatron’s vessel along with a battalion of Sweep and Armada units.
Other warriors joined in as well. A Soundwave-type warrior in black named Soundblaster came to Galvatron with his own cassetes: Rumble, Frenzy, Buzzsaw, Eject and Ramhorn at his side. Also there were the Insecticons Shrapnel, Bombshell and Kickback with their clones, Skywarp, Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet, Autobots Mirage, Cliffjumper, Gears and Huffer. Triplechangers Octan, Sandstorm and Astrotrain
“To Cybertron!”, Galvatron ordered as his ship pulled away from Leviathan and Stygian’s lair. Unaware that Evil Q, Zanzibar, Titanar, Harper and Destructor were looking on.
“Well this ought to be fun. “, Harper said.
“Ravage we have arrived. “, Regar said as the shimmering steel view of Cybertron crossed the viewscreen.
Almost every eye turned towards the shimmering silver planet with a look of awe and wonder. Unia however looked at the planet as the source of so much misery and pain due to the war of the Transformers that spread out among the many planets Gront saw it as just another source of evil that needed to be purged. But for Ravage, in his eyes was a look of one who had come home.
“They’re requesting identification. “, Ace Stryker said. “And the communications officer sounds like an old D. J.”
“Hey, incomming vessels. This is Blaster blastin at cha. State ship’s name rank and serial number. “Ravage knew the Cybertron communicator well as he shook his head and took the communicator. “Blaster. This is a priority one emergency. Grant us immediate clearance as well as immediate transportation to the main citadel for an audience with Optimus and Megatron or I am going to order my ships to enter Cybertron airspace and find the first place that they can find to land disrupting all the traffic on the planet.”
“Geez Ravage don’t blow a gasket. You’ve got clearance on Level Alpha 3 and a transport is already waiting for you. “, Blaster said. And just before signing off Blaster told Ravage, “You know you really need a vacation.”
Ravage just shook his head again and told the ships to follow his lead to the waiting docking bays. “Diplomatic isn’t he?”, Rocky whispered to Adam who chuckled.
“I heard that ranger. Remember you don’t have the power protecting you right now. “, Ravage said. The tone of voice was enough to shut the rangers up as Ravage landed his ship. The other zords and rogue ships landed on the adjacent platforms. When everyone disembarked, sure enough thr transport was waiting for them. As well as the Cybertron driver Bumblebee.
“To the citadel Bumblebee. Top speed!”, Ravage ordered. Bumblebee was also aware of the urgency of the situation as he drove the transport as fast as he safely could, which was pretty fast in itself.
The speed of the transport however didn’t stop the rangers from enjoying the scenery of Cybertron. Billy and Kendrix especially were amazed at the technology of the planet. “This is so cool Billy. “, Kendrix said. “I’ll bet any of this would be perfect in my lab and I could have a use for it.”
“I know the feeling Kendrix. “, Billy said. “This is cooler than anything I’ve seen on Aquatar.”
“And here you don’t have to worry about a fear of fish. “, Trini said close enough for Chad, Zack, Rocky, Carlos and T. J. to hear.
“You’re afraid of fish?”, Chad said barely holding back his chuckle.
“Remind me never to show you my goldfish. “, Joel said also laughing and soon became contagious, except for Ravage, Rogue Ranger, Seibercat, Unia Gront, Regar and the Night Rangers who either smirked or kept stoic facades.
The slam on the brakes disrupted everyone out of their mirth as the rangers were thrown to the front of the cockpit. Bumblebee looked up and said. “We’ve arrived. The council is waiting for you.”
Some of the rangers tried to get out of a jumble of arms and legs and straighten up before heading into the chambers. Ravage shook his head again as if saying Zordon chose these over council military? Kincaid however though Can anyone take them anywhere?
As the small army made its way to the main chamber everyone took in the architecture of Cybertron. Even Kincaid cast an eye once or twice, but refused to take his mind completely off the task at hand.
Then they had arrived. At the central podium stood six robots all bearing the tiger symbol. Ravage kneeled showing reverence for the six. Unia however felt her muscles tense up as she saw the elder in green and purple knowing full well who he was.
“Restrain yourself Unia. This is not the time or place for a grudge. “, Gront said. Unia nodded and looked up at the six elders. The one in red was the legendary Autobot hero Optimus Prime standing next to the one in green and purple. Even though his look was different Unia had no trouble identifying the monster who had destroyed her homeworld and helped lead to the turn of her love Corranedge Starkiller into Ravage Starkiller-Megatron.
On their left was the Decepticon Thundercracker and Autobots Cerebros and Hot Rod. On the right was Ultra Magnus, Shockwave and Soundwave. Then Megatron spoke to his former charge.
“Welcome back Ravage. It’s been a long time. “, the former Decepticon leader said.
“Thank you Megatron. “, Ravage said with reverence. “But I fear we have little time for reminiscing. From the information you received from Ratbat you must no doubt be aware that Galvatron has reactivated the ‘Master’ processes.”
“We are aware of that Ravage. “, Optimus said. “We are taking measures against that now.”
“Does this mean you will be reactivating the ‘Master’processes yourselves?”, Jason asked.
“Negative young man. “, Soundwave now spoke. “Even if we had the Transformers ready, the search for candidates would require too much time to complete.”
“Not necessarily. “, Ravage said. “Part of the reason I returned was because I have candidates ready for the process.” Ravage then signalled the former rangers to come forward. Soon Jason, Kim, Billy, Trini, Zack, Tommy, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Kat, Tanya, Justin, Ashley, Andros, T. J. , Carlos, Cassie, Zhane and Karone stepped forward.
Ultra Magnus couldn’t believe his sensors. “Are you serious Ravage? You want us to apply the ‘Master’ processes to these children?”
“These are not ordinary children. They are Power Rangers. “, Ravage said after casting a look saying ‘Don’t let this go to your heads’.
“I find this questionable Ravage. “, Prime said. “You realize they could be killed.”
Andros stepped forward. “We have been dead before. We are not afraid to face death again.” The other former rangers nodded.
Prime and Megatron looked at their council. Thundercracker, Soundwave and Cerebros agreed while Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod, and Shockwave didn’t. Megatron also agreed and while Optimus was reluctant to agree he did see the point in the ranger’s argument.
“Very well. Prepare the ‘Master’ processes. “, Prime ordered. The former rangers were then escorted by Perceptor down to a lab while Prime sat with the council. May the matrix protect them, he thought.
The Destron forces flew towards Cybertron. Galvatron was ready for the attack. Cyclonus then came forward and said that they were only 10, 000 astroseconds from being in Cybertronian airspace.
“Excellent. “, Galvatron said. “And then we shall crush the Autobots. We shall crush the traitor Decepticons who refused to follow me. We shall crush that fool Megatron who…”
Cyclonus left the bridge and allowed Galvatron to continue his rant. He’ll know when it’s time to attack. , he thought.
Optimus Prime stood outside the medical deck. The binary bonding proceedure was already underway. The first ones to undergo the procedure, according to Ravage were the original Power Rangers of Earth: Jason Lee-Scott, Kimberly Hart, Trini Kwan, Zack Taylor and William Cranston. He looked over the names of their partners as well. Two Headmasters, two Pretenders and a Powermaster.
Jason Lee-Scott was to be binary bonded with Cerebros who would become the elder Fortress Maximus, Kimberly Hart was to be the partner of Powermaster Joyride. Trini Kwan was to be the Headmaster of Highbrow. Zack Taylor was to be paired with Jazz as a pretender.
The other choice was one Optimus found amusing, for it seemed like the odd couple of pretender pairings. Super genius Billy Cranston was to be the binary bond partner of Grimlock the Dinobot. It seemed kind of humorous that one of Cranston’s intellect would be paired with one who is considered… stupid.
They underestimate Grimlock, Prime thought. He has come through many times for us in the past he will do so again. Optimus continued to read down the names on the list.
The next five were supposed to be Katherine Hillard, Rocky DeSantos, Adam Park, Aisha Campbell, and Tanya Sloan. Three Headmasters and two Powermasters. Katherine Hillard was to be binary bonded with female Autobot Arcee, while Rocky DeSantos would be paired with resident genius Brainstorm as a Headmaster Another interesting mix. , he thought. Adam Park was Powermaster to Slapdash, Aisha was Headmaster to Chromedome, and Tanya Sloane would be Powermaster to Getaway.
Prime continued to read down the name of lists and partners. Ashley Hammond-Targetmaster to Sureshot. Justin Stewart-Pretender to Bumblebee. Cassie Chan-Targetmaster to Pointblank. Carlos Vallerte-Targetmaster to Blurr. T. J. Johnson-Targetmaster to Kup. Andros formerly of KO-35(now called New Charr)-Targetmaster to Hot Rod.
The last one on the list gave Prime cause to worry. Doubledealer was not exactly known for being trustworthy. His side has always been whoever had the most money to offer, and his two Powermaster partners Zhane and Karone had nefarious reputations, Zhane as the ‘Space Cowboy’ as humans put it, and Karone’s as Astronema Princess of evil. I pray they will be able to keep Doubledealer in check.
Prime looked down the list and he saw Tommy Oliver’s name on the list, but no binary bond partner for him. He thought for sure that he would be on the list due to his standing as a Powermaster. The next second Perceptor came out to report his progress.
“The binary bonding process is well underway. The first wave is already in the chambers. “, Perceptor reported. Perceptor was met with a wall of silence until Prime turned to him and asked, “Why was Tommy Oliver not given a partner?”
Perceptor took a moment to answer. “We haven’t found a suitable partner for him.”
“Why not me?”, Prime asked. “I was leader of the Autobots. I have been binary bonded through the Powermaster process before. Tommy himself was a leader of rangers. I would assume that I would be on the list of pairings.”
“Yes… well… “, Perceptor was stammering as he tried to answer his leader. “Some of us… believe… that… you… are not one… to be risked.”
“Why not?”, Prime asked. “Don’t you trust Megatron?”
Perceptor didn’t respond and Prime took that as a sign that Perceptor didn’t trust Megatron. “That’s what I thought. “, Prime answered.
“Prime we have been fighting Megatron for eons, then suddenly he returns and surrenders? That is not like him!”, Perceptor said.
Optimus didn’t say anything for a few seconds until he turned to Perceptor and said, “I know.”
The admission shocked Perceptor then Prime answered. “When I fought Megatron I got to know him pretty well. And Megatron was loyal to his cause, even though we had disagreed with it. And he saw surrender as the only means to preserve that cause and the ideals behind it.
“There is an old saying on Earth ‘The South shall rise again’, which was an old term from the American Civil War. It states the belief that one day the southern ideals will return and will become a power again. Megatron believes in the same ideal that ‘the Decepticons will rise again’, but he also knows that the rising will not be done by him.”
“Do you mean that Megatron surrendered so there could be another war?”, Perceptor asked.
Prime took a moment before answering. “In the 20th century on Earth there was a war called World War I which was called ‘the war to end all wars’. Sad to say there were more wars after that: a second World War. Wars in territories like Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait, Kosovo, and more will come in the future. There will always be a war somewhere, perhaps even here again.”
“Or maybe we’ll finally adhere to the Matrix’s vision of when all are one. “, said a voice from behind the corner. Perceptor was surprised to see Megatron rounding the corner. “Prime and I know where we stand with each other. “, Megatron said. “Don’t let your distrust of me and what I have done in the past keep you from doing the necessary job at hand.”
Perceptor was surprised to say the least but was shocked when the corridor started to shake. “We’re under attack!”, Perceptor said.
“I can see that!”, Megatron shouted with sarcasm.
Ultra Magnus stood above the medical wing where the first of the new Masterforce Rangers rangers were undergoing the binary bonding process. Laying in the chambers were Jason Lee-Scott, Trini Kwan, Billy Cranston, Kimberly Hart and Zack Taylor. Standing before them were their binary bonding partners. The body of Fortress Maximus stood over Jason as he bonded with the head as well as Trini who was the head of Highbrow. Kimberly was bonding to be Joyride’s engine while Billy and Zack were being joined with Transformers themselves, respectively Grimlock and Jazz who stood over them sharing the glow Billy and Zack did as they were merging their forms.
“Me Grimlock feel tingly all over. “, Grimlock said. Zack turned to Billy and chuckled. “Oh man, this is too much.”
“What do you mean?”, Billy asked looking over at Zack.
“I mean here you are, the egghead of our team who spouts so much technobabble joining with someone who speaks like a caveman. This is too much. “, Zack’s smile was spread wide.
“Careful buddy. “, Jazz said. “Grimlock is very sensitive.” Grimlock then looked down at Zack and prooved Jazz’s point.
Yes. Me Grimlock am sensitive. So sensitive meGrimlock not like feelings hurt. Because when me Grimlock has feelings hurt. Me get very angry! Me may just stomp you.”
Billy then interrupted. “But won’t that hurt your fellow warrior Jazz if you hurt Zack?”
“Ohhh, me hadn’t thought of that. “, Grimlock said and the two rangers/pretenders went back to the bonding process. The other rangers heard the revelry and smiled as the consciousness of the three Cybertron warriors touched the rangers own as the binary bonding continued.
The other former rangers stood above as well as the Lightspeeds, Galaxy, Night and Blunder Rangers. The Autobot First Aid was monitoring the process along with his aide Fixit.
The process is about 53% complete Ultra Magnus. “, First Aid reported. The next group should get ready shortly. Upon First Aid’s report Katherine Hillard, Rocky DeSantos, Adam Park, Aisha Campbell and Tanya Sloane all felt a sense of apprehension. “Well it looks like our turn is coming up next. “, Rocky said.
Adam nodded and looked over at Tanya. “You scared?”, he asked.
Tanya nodded, “A little. I guess I just never had to undergo a process where whether or not I’d be human would be in question.”
“I think we’re all asking that question. “, Kat said. “But we’ve got to do what we have to do.”
Everyone nodded then the room started shaking. “It’s an attack. “, Fixit said.
“We’re too far along with the process to stop now. “, First Aid reported. “And we haven’t even got to the next batch of volunteers yet.”
Carter stepped forward with the Lightspeeds in tow. “No problem. We’ll help stop whoever is attacking.”
“Not without us you’re not. “, Kincaid said stepping forward the Night Rangers following.
Bulk then stepped forward as well. “We’re coming too. “. The Blunder Rangers followed the Night Ranger’s suit and stood behind their leader.
“Without the Galactabeasts here, we won’t be much good. “, Leo said. “We’ll stay and help guard the others until the process is complete.”
Prancer then came forward. “LikewhatdoIdo?ImeanIknowI’vebeenselectedtobealike BlunderRangerbutIhaven’tlikebeeninbattlebefore.” Bulk waited a moment to process what Prancer just said then turned to her and said, “Stay behind Princess. We’ll call when we need you.”
“Ohmanthislikesoooooreaksofheinosity”, Prancer commented.
“Don’t worry. “, Skull said after taking a minute himself. “It’s practically a rule that whenever the rangers go into battle the sixth one stays behind unless the main team gets into too much trouble. Don’t worry about it.”
When everyone was agreed Carter gave the order to get moving. “All right then let’s go”
Galvatron stood above watching as his warriors attacked the defences. Sweeps, his jets, as many warriors as he had except for his Masterforces who he held back on. He wanted to savor the moment on when he would use them.
Rita then came on to Galvatron’s bridge despite Cyclonus trying to stop her. She’d just morph and shoot him as Starscream. Then Rita would morph back and look up at Galvatron.
“Why are we being held back you oversized galvanized nut bar?”, Rita shrieked. “We want to knock some rangers all the way to Charr and back.”
Galvatron turned and smiled, “Because… “, he said with a smile then changed moods when he stomped down on his foot and went into another rant. “I want to crush them like rodents. I want to see them sweat. I want them to realize there is no chance against me. I want them to wonder when I will send you down. Do you understand me?”
Rita looked surprised and just said, “Yeah sure.” Zedd immediately came inside and took her hand.
“Excuse my wife please Lord Galvatron. She is just as anxious to destroy the rangers as you are to destroy the Cybertrons. She meant nothing by her forwardness.”
Rita flashed Zedd a look but Galvatron didn’t notice. “Very well. See to it that it doesn’t happen again. Or I will not only destroy you, but your binary bonded partner for the second time!” With that Rita and Zedd left Galvatron’s bridge and headed back down to the landing bay.
“Zeddie?”, Rita asked. “How long do we have to put up with this looney? I know you and I have had…. setbacks. But this clown will be the doom of us all.”
Zedd considered his wife’s words and agreed. “You are correct my little buttercup. Unfortunately, we have to bide our time. If Galvatron is to be taken down, he has to be taken down the right way.”
If Zedd could smile he would have as continued to speak. “But do not worry. The personality of Scorpinok and I are hard at work formulating a plan to dethrone him. And I’m also aware of Starscream’s…. history of attempted usurption.”
Rita smiled. “Ohhh yeah Zeddie. I see where you’re going.”
“Soon we shall lead the Destrons. And Galvatron will be nothing more than a bad memory. “, Rita and Zedd laughed as they continued down the hall.
Back at Stygian’s lair a metallic figure sat in meditation holding the glowing red metal object in his hand. It did not have the power he desired yet, but it would soon. In the meantime however, the glowing object allowed him to see the battle on Cybertron.
“Soon Rita and Zedd. “, Galvatron II said. “Soon Galvatron will get his. But whether you will lead the Destrons is another matter entirely.”
On the battlefield the Cybertrons were working to hold off the Destron counter offensive. So far there have been Insecticon clones and jets with only the generals getting their few jabs in. Thundercracker took to the front lines leading the Cybertrons then he saw an old friend whom he just had to… pay respects to. Transforming he took to the air with his sensors trained on a black fighter jet.
“Maintain cover fire. “, Thundercracker ordered. And the Cybertrons did as the warrior ordered. Firing off a sonic boom Skywarp was knocked off balance allowing Thundercracker to get in the first shot.
“Sorry old friend. “, Thundercracker said. “But I have to do this.” He then fired his missiles at Skywarp who then teleported to avoid. He reappeared right behind Thundercracker and fired off his heat seeking missiles which Thundercracker sought to avoid.
“Have to do what?”, Skywarp taunted. “Fight with a bunch of quitters? Come on Galvatron has the right idea. Fighting’s in our oil. Why should we stop?”
Thundercracker then flew dangerously close to Skywarp allowing the heatseekers to make contact with Skywarp’s engines rather than Thundercracker’s. As Skywarp fell to the planet Thundercracker said, “Because there is a difference fighting for a cause, and fighting for no reason. Galvatron fights for no reason.”
The Cybertron Tracks was busy fighting off Destrons coming at him. What came into his sights first were two former Autobots, Mirage and Cliffjumper. The Autobot symbols they wore proudly replaced with that of the Destrons. For the briefest second Tracks hesitated in firing, buying enough time for Mirage to turn invisible. As Tracks struggled to find him Cliffjumper jumped up and knocked Tracks down with a right cross.
As Tracks looked up he saw Mirage reappear with his weapon drawn. Cliffjumper also had his weapon drawn. “Guys, why are you doing this?”, Tracks asked.
“Why?”, Cliffjumper asked. “For millions of years we had been fighting Megatron. Trying to end the Decepticons and their tyranny. Then Megatron appears and surrenders. And what does Prime do? Does he execute him? Does he punish him? No! He welcomes him back with open arms! What kind of leader would take a chance of the Decepticon evil rising again by letting its leader live?”
“And as for me. Well you guys never trusted me anyway. “, Mirage said with his weapon bearing on Tracks. “And besides, with Galvatron at least we have a chance to finish off Megatron for good.”
“So in order to destroy Megatron you’ll follow Megatron?”, Tracks asked. Cliffjumper responded with, “Hey watch the vids. Megatron was separated from Galvatron. They ain’t the same guy anymore.”
Before anyone could say anymore a car engine roared and a trail of smoke followed blinding Mirage and Cliffjumper. Tracks took advantage and transformed following the trail out.
“Thanks for the save Smokescreen. “, Tracks said.
“No problem. “, Smokescreen said then added with sadness “I just wish I didn’t have to save you from our own.”
“They aren’t our own anymore. “, Tracks said sharing the despair but he had no time for grief. There was still a battle to fight.
Motormaster, Onslaught, Razorclaw, Seawing and Hungurr looked on and decided it was time to take things up a notch. “Stunticons merge!”, Motormaster ordered.
“Combaticons merge!”, Onslaught ordered.
“Predacons merge!”, ordered Razorclaw.
“Terrorcons merge!”, ordered Hungurr.
“Seacons merge!”, Seawing ordered. And soon five seperate teams joined together to form the monstrous gestalts Menasaur, Bruticus, Predaking, Abominus and Pirannahcon. On the other side of the battle the Constructicons decided it was time to call in the big guns.
“Constructicons merge!”, Scrapper ordered and soon Devastator stood fighting on the Cybertrons. The red tiger symbol showing the gestault’s alliegance.
“Urrr. Bruticus hope Devastator show. “, Bruticus said.
“Old friend wants to pay respects. “, Menasaur said, and a giant red and yellow robot with the purple Destron symbol appeared and attacked Devastator. “Constructicons enemies!”, the mighty Omega Supreme said fighting alongside the Destrons. Omega tore into Devastator like a mechanoid on a mission.
“I take it saying I’m sorry won’t matter?”, Devastator said in jest referring to the incident with the mindsweeper when the Constructicons ‘joined’ Megatron and tried to convince Omega Supreme to do the same. A blast from Omega Supreme that Devastator dodged answered Devastator’s question.
The Omega zords, Blunder zords and Night zords were flying in and they saw the big gestalts ganging up on Devastator. “All right let’s bring em together. “, Carter ordered.
Carter and the Lightspeeds initiated the Omega Megazord transformation sequence and formed the massive zord which was as big as any of the gestalts. Kincaid flying the Red Demonzord transformed his into warrior mode with whip, sword and all.
Kincaid then ordered the Night Rangers to activate Night Megazord formation 1. With that Jessica’s zord formed the head and Torso of the massive zord. Ken’s pantherzord were the arms, and the pink bat and yellow raven folded in to become the legs. The raptorzord, crow and coyote stood by the Night Megazord 1’s side ready to offer it cover.
And the Blunder Rangers even formed their Blunder Megazord which was a definite sight compared to other mecha in battle. But somehow a robot made up of a drooling dog, a hamburger, Albert Einstein, a boxer, and a giant geek would be enough for anyone to take notice, and laugh at.
Several of the Destrons including the Gestalts laughed upon seeing the Blunder Megazord thinking that it was the most stupid piece of mecha they had ever seen. The Gestalts Predaking, Bruticus, Abominus, Menasaur and Pirannacon broke apart into hysterical fits of laughter.
“Ha Ha! Ha! Bruticus can’t stop!
“Gestault stupid looking!”, Menasaur said. They other gestaults just laughed more and more.
“I can’t believe it. They’re laughing at us!”, Greenie said.
Poindexter then had an idea and went into an impersonation of the W. O. P. R. computer from the old 1980’s movie ‘Wargames’, “Shall we play a game?”
The other Blunder Rangers smiled and Bulk said, “Love to.”
“What are we gonna play Bulkie?”, Skull asked.
“Oh I don’t know. How about ‘Kick the Destrons!, “
The Blunder Megazord then went over to every Destron that was laughing histerically and picked up each Destron one at a time and punched them out into space or kicked them like footballs.
“To the moon Alice!”, Poindexter said to Cliffjumper who went flying. Bretta added to the impressions with her version of Kathy Bates in the movie ‘The Waterboy’ “Have you been playing the foosball behind my back boy?”
The Omega Megazord, Max Solarzord and Night Megazord were just standing watching the Blunder Megazord kick or throw Destrons into space. “Wow if this keeps up, maybe we won’t have to fight. “, Joel said.
“That wouldn’t be too bad.” Kelsey said agreeing. The other Lightspeeds agreed as well.
But then a blast from a plasma blaster sent the Blunder Megazord down. Looking up the Blunder Rangers saw the giant form of Omega Supreme bearing down on them with his weapon drawn. “Threat: Neutralized!”, Omega said.
The Stunticons, Predacons, Terrorcons, Seacons and Combaticons then snapped out of their trance then transformed back into their gestalt modes. The battle was back on.
Optimus and Megatron watched the battle as well as Omega Supreme and Devastator. Megatron cursed himself for the idea of the mindsweeper years ago to insure the Constructicon’s loyalty and make Omega Supreme hate them with a passion.
“We have to get out there. “, Optimus Prime said then he turned to Perceptor and Ultra Magnus. “Are the first team ready yet?”, Prime asked.
“We’re all set Optimus. “, Jason said wearing a black and blue suit of armor. Zack was wearing a white and blue suit while Billy wore a white and red suit. Trini wore a suit that was blue and gray while Kimberly had a solid blue armor. Kimberly, Trini and Jason all had their transectors standing over them.
“All right team, TRANSFORM!!!”, Jason ordered and Jason and Trini transformed into robot heads while Kimberly transformed into an engine.
“Head On!”, Jason and Trini shouted as the robot bodies joined with the heads of their transectors Highbrow and Cerebros. Cerebros then transformed into the head of Fortress Maximus and placed that head on the other torso.
“Engine On!”, Kimberly shouted as she transformed into an engine which joined her partner Joyride.
“Get on!”, Billy and Zack shouted as they transformed into their robot alter egos Jazz and Grimlock. When Prime’s fighting force was ready he then took the lead of his force.
“Cybertrons! Transform and Roll out!”, Prime ordered and he had transformed into his red semi trailer mode. Joyride and Jazz transformed into cars and Highbrow transformed into a chopper. Grimlock took on his dinosaur mode and followed Prime into battle.
Megatron stayed behind at the medical bay waiting for when the next wave of ‘Masters’ would be ready, as well as waiting for something else. Soon, he thought. Very soon!
Just then another robot appeared to fly into the medical wing. He transformed fron his falcon mode to robot mode and landed near Perceptor and Ultra Magnus. “Okay I’m here. Now who do I see about a job?”
Megatron then stepped up behind the mercenary Cybertron. “Ah Doubledealer. So good to see you.”
Galvatron watched the battle with delight as he saw all the destruction and carnage. But he wanted more, much more. “Dark Masterforce! Prepare to attack!!!” In the lounge area the Destron masters sat up ready to jump into the fray. Galvatron continued to look at the monitor and saw an old… opponent he wanted to renew his… acquaintance with.
“Optimus Prime!”, Galvatron said upon seeing the mighty red robot. At last you shall meet your destruction!” The insane Destron then went down to the launch bay himself and made ready to lead the attack himself.
“Mighty Galvatron. What brings you here?”, Cyclonus asked with Goldar already transformed into his firearm.
“I am going to lead this assault fool. No one is going to destroy Optimus Prime but me! DO YOU HEAR ME?!!” All the other Destrons did was look at each other then focused on the attack close at hand.
“And now, DESTRONS ATTACK!!!!” Galvatron jumped straight into the battle with the Destrons…. a little far behind. Not much though.
“Transform!”, Zedd ordered as his transector transformed into a headless robotic body with Zedd transforming as the head. “Head On!”, he said as he became the head of Scorpinok. All the other dark masters transformed into their Destron modes as well, and followed close behind Galvatron, but not too close.
Galvatron punched through like the total maniac he was going through Cybertrons and his own fellow Destrons. “Out of my way fools! No one will stand in my way of the destruction of Optimus Prime. “Galvatron suddenly found himself standing on a ledge shouting “WHERE ARE YOU PRIME?! SHOW YOURSELF COWARD!!!”
An engine sound was heard from behind Galvatron but by the time Galvatron reacted a red semi slammed into him knocking him off the ledge towards the ground below. The truck then transformed into Optimus Prime and he jumped off the ledge himself rolling in the air as he aimed his blaster at Destron targets as he fell to the surface of Cybertron.
Prime rolled as he landed and fired at the Destrons in his visual range. They went down easy and Prime took a moment of sorrow as he remembered that some of the Destrons were warriors he had fought alongside with, until Galvatron showed up bringing many former Autobots who had the taste of war in their servos onto his side. When Prime saw Galvatron he charged the Destron leader as the troops continued to their next battle, and sent a punch knocking him back.
“This madness of yours has to end Galvatron. “, Prime said. “Too much has been destroyed because of you.”
“And more will be!”, Galvatron said as he charged Prime. The two warriors beginning the latest in their long series of battles.
Not far away Scorpinok and Starscream stood off to the side watching Prime fight with Galvatron. Scorpinok had his tail ready to fire. “Soon, Galvatron. Soon you shall just be a memory!”, Starscream said then turned to Scorpinok. “Why don’t you fire you overgrown piece of junk?”
Careful you schreeching piece of tin my husband’s in there. , Rita said in Starscream’s head.
“Because we have to make it look like Galvatron was beaten by Prime. “, Scorpinok said. “That way no one will dispute the claims we make to the leadership.
Do we have to do that?, Zedd asked. Why not just take them both out and say we destroyed Optimus Prime avenging Galvatron.
What about Starscream?, Scorpinok asked his binary bond partner in mental communication.
Oh come now. Zedd said. You would be much better at being believable than Starscream would. Besides he’s annoying, who’d want to follow him?
Scorpinok thought of this for a moment and he liked the sound of Zedd’s idea. “Why not?”, Scorpinok said with a sneer then he aimed his tail at the two warriors fighting. Scorpinok was ready to fire when a blast knocked him off balance as well as Starscream. “Who dares to attack us?”, Starscream said.
Looking up he saw Fortress Maximus with laser rifle in hand. By his side were Joyride, Grimlock, Jazz and Highbrow. “Not this time Scorpinok!”, Fortress Maximus said triumphantly. The Rita and Zedd aspects of Starscream and Scorpinok picked up on something in Fort Max’s voice and recognized it. Oh no! It’s Jason. , Rita said.
The other original rangers must be bonded to the other Cybertrons. , Zedd thought.
“Oooohhhh! I have such a headache. “, Starscream said then he turned up towards the Cybertrons along with Scorpinok.
“You fools will pay for that. Scourge! Cyclonus!Mindwipe! Attack!!!”, Starscream ordered. Soon a bat, a hovercraft and a fighter came in blasting. The battle was on.
Optimus turned to see the new Masterforce Rangers in their first battle. The distraction allowed Galvatron to get in a shot sending back Prime a good couple of feet. Galvatron readied his laser cannon to bear on Prime but Prime rolled away. His hand came across a piece of debris and Prime had thrown it at Galvatron with all his might. It impacted right into Galvatron’s chest sending the monstrous Destron back.
Prime then took advantage and launched an attack on Galvatron. Bringing his right hand into his arm Optimus activated his energy axe and took a swing at Galvatron’s injured side. Prime’s swipe hit it’s mark as the injured side of Galvatron grew wider.
Galvatron then raised his cannon as Prime turned around and got out two shots hitting their mark in Prime’s shoulder and chest. Prime was staggering as Galvatron rushed him with a shoulder tackle crashing him into a wall. Galvatron then transformed into his cannon mode bearing his weapon against Optimus. “It’s all over Prime. “, Galvatron said.
Prime however wouldn’t quit as he kicked Galvatron into the cannon’s nozzle knocking him over. “No Galvatron. It’s not over. “, Prime said then the two went back at it.
Back at the lab Kat, Aisha, Adam, Rocky, Tanya and Justin were being binary bonded to their Transformers. Above Kat, Rocky, and Aisha were the headless bodies of Arcee, Brainstorm and Chromedome waiting for their partners. Tanya and Adam waited as they were undergoing the bonding process to be the engines of Getaway and Slapdash. Only Justin was being bonded via the pretender process as his form was merging with the Autobot Bumblebee who stood over him.
No one noticed a small robot move away from the shadows looking to report to his commander-Soundblaster. Just outside the black cassete player brought the former Autobot into his deck and replayed his knowledge.
Sondblaster then decided to make a move. “Rumble, Frezny, Eject, Ramhorn, Buzzsaw. Prepare for battle. Operation: Sabotage. Eject!”, he said releasing his tapes sending them into the medical wing.
Kendrix stood watching First Aid and Fixit work on the next batch of Masterforce. “Wow, an amazing procedure. “, she said.
“It is. “, First Aid said then his eye caught Doubledealer talking with Ultra Magnus. Doubledealer was being difficult with Magnus’s proposal.
“I told you before Magnus, It’s a flat NO!, and no discussion!!”, The mercenary said. “Besides, I’ve already undergone the Powermaster process before. Why should I have to do it again?”
“For the very reason you said. Because you’ve been through the process before. “, Magnus explained. Doubledealer still wasn’t buying it.

“I’m not done yet!”, Doubledealer said. “I’m also not sure I want partners again either. Knok and Skar were just terrible. I kind of liked being a solo act and was glad I got rid of them.”
“You never did say how you got rid of them. “, Magnus said.
“And I won’t either”, Doubledealer said just as a wall exploded nearby revealing Soundblaster and his Destron tapes ready to strike. “DESTRONS ATTACK!!”
The five cassettes charged towards the chamber where the next group of Ranger Masters were being fitted. The Galaxy Rangers then stood in the cassettes way. “GO GALACTIC!!!”, they called and they morphed into their Galaxy Ranger uniforms.
“All right you guys. “, Leo said taking point. “I don’t know who you are but there’s no way we are going to let you destroy our friends. “Drawing out their Quasar sabers the rangers took to defensive positions ready to fight.
No one noticed Megatron sneaking out the back.
The Omega Megazord was slammed hard into the technological building due to the throw Menasaur had given it. “Man, I love flying but this is ridiculous”, Joel said. Dana was concerned about Ryan and asked how he was handling.
“Uhhh, I’ve definitely been better!”, Ryan said who was locked in battle with Abominus. The giant gestault gave the Max Solarzord no quarter and wasn’t allowing any either. “This guy isn’t letting me get in any shots. There also isn’t any sun for me to charge into.”
Carter then had an idea. “Let’s try bringing them together. Maybe the combined power will be of help.”
“Right!”, the rangers said and they linked the Omega Megazord with the Max Solarzord to form the Omega Solarzord. The gestaults stood wondering what was going on.
“Okay, Let’s give it everything we’ve got. “, Carter prayed hoping his plan would work. “All right fire!”, Carter ordered.
The cannons from the megazord tore from their barrels bursts of energy aimed at Bruticus and Abominus. But they only seemed to have the effect of one who was stung by a bee. The two metal monsters still came at the Lightspeed megazord.
“I don’t believe it!”, Kelsey said. “They just shrugged it off.”
The next thing they knew was the whole Megazord flying as it was launched by two gestaults.
Kincaid was flying the Demonzord as it locked horns with Omega Supreme. He was sad to see the Autobot defence base fighting with a loony like Galvatron, But when the only emotion one feels is hate for his enemies who had joined the good guys I guess it limits your options. , Kincaid thought.
Omega tried to swipe his claw to the Demonzord but it had jumped out of the way and Kincaid brought out the zord’s whip and closed it around the big Destron’s throat. “This won’t hurt… much”, Kincaid said.
A wave of flame coursed through the whip into Omega Supreme sending an energon curdling scream from his entire body. Seeing The Lightspeed rangers having problems Kincaid launched the defence base at Bruticus and Abominus by way of the whip and both Gestaults broke apart upon contact with Omega Supreme.
As Kincaid looked on at Omega Supreme’s sensors he found they went dark as his body was shut down. The Lightspeeds also reorganized themselves and saw the components of the gestaults running.
“Thanks Kincaid. “, Carter said. Kincaid answered with “No problem”, and went to see how the other Night Rangers were doing.
Jessica was in the driver’s seat of Night Megazord one with Ken, Alison and Kathy taking the control seats. Their target Predaking standing right before them, its energy sword drawn ready to strike.
Predaking did strike and the Night Megazord barely avoided the attack. Calling forth its own sabre Jessica brought the sword to bear and Predaking and the megazord were clashing swords. “We can’t keep this up much longer. “, Kathy said. Ken felt the rage burning up inside him. Not now!, he thought. Keep control.
“I’ve got an idea. “, Jessica said. “Kyle, Sorerro you busy?”
“Not really. “, Kyle said flying the Raptorzord as it fought Destron Seekers and Sweeps along with Karone. Sorrero was on the ground dealing with ground forces. “What can we do for you?”
“I need a distraction. “, Jessica said and both Kyle and Sorrero knew what to do. Karone remained to help the Cybertrons air cover while Kyle and Sorrero turned their zords towards Predaking and soon Kyle was using the claws of the Raptorzord to shread Predaking’s sensors blinding the estault. Sorrero launched the coyotezord towards Predaking’s throat and slicing that too. Predaking then dropped its sword and Jessica brought the final strike down with her megasabre and sliced through Predaking causing the Predacons to fall to the surface of Cybertron totally wrecked.
Karone handled herself well with the Rogues and Cybertron airforce as Destrons fell when they hit her sights. “You’re pretty good there. “, Ace Stryker said to Karone as he flew alongside Jetfire.
“No problem. Bandit ten o’clock. “, Karone then brought the Crowzord to the left and took out an Armada unit trying to get in a suckerpunch. Jetfire thanked her and Ravage took a moment to observe her flying. “She is good. “, he said.
The Blunder Megazord was staring down the gestault Pirannacon who looked ready to eat the megazord for lunch. “Uh oh. Think fast Bulkie!”, Skull said.
Then the megazord went into a fashion pose with Bulks voice going through saying “My stars, where did you get that awful outfit. It looks like you had shopped at the most heinous shop on the boulevard.”
The Blunder Megazord then laft to bring out a coat rack with lots of clothes on it. “Oh come now this is absolutely you. “, the Blunder Megazord said putting on a giant tranchcoat on the Decepticon gestalt. “On second thought….”
In one swift movement the Blunder Megazord yanked the coat off Pirannahcon and Pirannahcom went flying around the are with Seacons spinning in different directions. Bulk then sat in the cockpit and said, “Next!”
David and Sarah had stayed on the ground. The Gold Cougar and Silver Serpent Zords were holding their own against the attacking Destrons. Sarah tore through the ranks with the Gold Cougar with its claws slicing through whatever was in its path. David however was a little more discrete as he used Venom Bombs on his targets.
The bombs used had acid in them which corroded many metals. When the acid made contact with the Destrons, they found their outer skins and superstructures melting, which put her on the Destron’s most wanted list.
David saw the added attention he was getting and moved the serpent into defensive mode with its weapons on line. So focused were they on him that they forgot about Sarah who came in from behind and finished off David’s opponents.
“Not bad David. “, Sarah complimented her brother.
“Hey, I’ll set them up. you knock them down. “, David said back then both the McAllister-Kellers looked for other targets.
In the medical bay the Galaxy rangers were holding off Soundblaster’s cassetes as Soundwave and Blaster brought their cassetes out to counter Soundblaster’s force. Steeljaw tore into Ranhorn, while Eject and Rewind went at it. Rumble and Frenzy tried to gang up on Laserbeak but the condor managed to evade the two punks allowing Kai and Damon to destroy them with the Quasar launchers. Leo, Kendrix and Maya also managed to shoot down Buzzsaw before it could get to the masters.
Soundwave and Blaster then turned to face Soundblaster who had their ultrasonic speakers ready. The blaring sonics sent the Destron back out the way they had come in. The Destron cassettes followed their leader.
“I hated doing that. “, Blaster said.
“I know. “, Soundwave said looking at the retreating cassetes. Some he had served with while others served with Blaster. First Aid then called out “The new Masterforce Rangers are ready.”
The two Cybertrons then turned around, as did Ultra Magnus, to see six new Masterforce rangers standing. Five with their transectors. “You guys ready?”, Kat asked the rangers with her. The other five nodded.
“All right then. Transform!!”, Katherine Hillard ordered as she transformed into the head of Arcee. “Head on!”
The others followed suit as well as Aisha and Rocky transformed into the heads of Brainstorm and Chromedome. “Head on!” they both said.
“Engine on!”, Adam and Tanya said as they became the engines of Slapdash and Getaway.
“Get on!”, Justin said as he transformed into the Cybertron Bumblebee.
“Okay we’re all set. “, Arcee said with Slapdash, Joyride, Bumblebee, Brainstorm and Chromedome by her side.
“Transform and join the other Master rangers. “, Magnus ordered. “They might need you.” They did and went to look for their comrades. Andros took that as his cue for the other Astro Rangers to take their places. Zhane and Karone held back since they weren’t sure their transector would co-operate.
Ultra Magnus then turned to Doubledealer and asked, “Well. What’s your answer?”
“Like I said, No!! I ain’t interested. “, Doubledealer said as he turned to look at his partners. “And you want to binary bond me to Power Rangers?”
“Is there a problem with that?”, Zhane asked. Doubledealer just snickered and said “I ain’t a goody two shoes. Being a bad boy pays better.”
“So? I wasn’t always a good girl. “, Karone said. “Don’t you remember Astronema Princess of Evil?”
Doubledealer was about to give a remark that said “I ain’t impressed ” when he felt himself convulse and a wave of pain shot through him. “AAAHHHH!!!!”
Ultra Magnus and First Aid rushed to the mercenary’s side. “What’s wrong with him?”, Magnus asked.
“I have suspicions but I need to run a diagnostic to make sure. “, First Aid said. Magnus then helped First Aid carry Doubledealer over to the diagnostic table leaving Fixit to supervise the bonding of the next batch of rangers.
Optimus Prime and Galvatron continued to fight. Optimus had used skill and brains as he dodged Galvatron’s wild blows. “Curse you Prime!! STAND STILL!!!”
“Not today Galvatron!!!”, Prime said as he landed an uppercut across Galvatron’s jaw sending him back. When Galvatron landed he aimed his cannon at Prime but he had managed to leap into the air and get a shot out from his rifle knocking Galvatron back.
Galvatron needed to do something quick, then through all the insanity an idea came to him. He noticed a tower Prime was standing under and Galvatron took aim. Upon contact with the blast the tower started to fall towards Prime and Prime rolled out of the way as the tower crashed. Little did Optimus know that the tower allowed him to be set up for an attack by Galvatron.
Galvatron fired a blast into Prime’s side and the mad Destron followed up with a running charge into the Cybertron leader. Prime suddenly felt the battle turn to Galvatron’s favor. “And now Prime. Feel the wrath of Galvatron!” The mad leader wasted no time going on the offensive against the great Cybertron leader.
“So how is the diagnosis?”, Ultra Magnus asked First Aid.
“Not good. “, First Aid reported. “He’s suffering from power withdrawl.” Magnus looked confused the First Aid started to explain.
“Power withdrawl comes from a Powermaster who has been away from his components too long. They feel pain and loss of energy as the need for power from their components becomes necessary.”
Magnus was confused. “But Prime and the other Powermasters have been away from their components for years. Why haven’t they been through the withdrawl?”
“Special components allowed them to process energon without the use of Powermaster components. Doubledealer has these components himself but they’re not of Cybertronian design. In fact, Doubledealer’s components are black market copies of Cybertron technology that were just cobbled together. He never came to us for new components when Knok and Skar… left.”
Ultra Magnus looked down at Doubledealer. His pride prevented him from asking for help, he thought. “So what can we do?”
“Unfortunately his condition is too far along for new alternative components to be installed. If Doubledealer is to live, he needs to undergo the Powermaster process again. “, First Aid explained.

Fortress Maximus stood with his Masterforce holding Scorpinok and Starscream at bay until reinforcements arrived for the Destrons. Those reinforcements came in the forms of Thunderwing, Hardhead, Weirdwolf, and Skullcruncher.
“Ahhh, Cybertrons to destroy. Mangle we shall. “, Weirdwolf said.
“Grrr. Since you joined with Elgar Weirdwolf, you have dropped in I. Q. points. “, Skullcruncher said.
“Save it you tin cans!”, Thunderwing screeched in a voice that sounded like Divatox and her partner. “JUST DESTROY THOSE CYBERTRONS!!!”
Fortress and his team were holding their own when he heard the roar of engines as Arcee, Brainstorm, Chromedome, Slapdash, Getaway and Bumblebee joined the battle. “Can anyone join the party or do we need an invitation?”, Arcee asked.
“Come one come all! We could use the assist. “, Fort Max said. Highbrow, Chromedome and Brainstorm recognized the Autobot Hardhead in the Destron ranks and they immediately felt their energon pumps sink.
The ranger components in the three Headmasters knew of the bond that the Headmasters shared as Autobots, but since Hardhead had joined Galvatron’s mission of destruction-all bets were off.
The Headmasters knew this and treated Hardhead like any other enemy. “Forgive us our friend. “, Highbrow said taking aim at Hardhead. Unfortunately Hardhead took notice of being a target and aimed his cannon at Highbrow.
The cannon fired knocking the Cybertron back. Hardhead then said “Nothing personal. It’s just business.” before going back to battle.
Thunderwing was targetting Bumblebee as if he had recognized Justin’s presence in the little Cybertron. Attack it!! KILL IT!!! DESTROY THE LITTLE BOOGER!!! Divatox ordered.
Thunderwing pulled up and decided to go after a different target, namely Grimlock. NOOOO!! SHOOT JUSTIN!!!
Lady, I don’t know what your problem is with that Autobot but there are better Autobots that I can focus on than Bumblebee. Like Fortress Maximus or Grimlock!!, Thunderwing said to Divatox referring tto Bumblebee, Grimlock and Fortress Maximus by their old designations, unaware that Bumblebee had locked his weapons on Thunderwing’s engines and fired off a blast that hit his engines sending him crashing down to the ground.
I told you to get Justin!!! Next time listen to me!!!, Divatox shrieked as Thunderwing spiraled down.
Chromedome, Highbrow and Brainstorm were advancing on the former Autobot, now Destron, Hardhead hoping he would surrender. “Please Hardhead, don’t make us hurt you.”
“Don’t worry you won’t”, Hardhead said as Mindwipe, Skullcruncher and Weirdwolf took to his defence. “If destroy Hardhead you want, us you must go through. “, Weirdwolf said.
“I don’t have a huge problem with that. “, Chromedome said as Highbrow and Brainstorm also opened fire. The Destron Headmasters put up a fight and were slightly getting the upper hand due to the four on three advantage.
Slapdash, Joyride and Getaway then joined the fray driving the Destrons back. “Big trouble we are in. “, Weirdwolf said.
“Duh!”, Skullcruncher said as the Destrons retreated.
Arcee, Jazz and Grimlock were tangling with Scourge, Cyclonus and Starscream. Starscream led the charge blasting with the null ray. “Surrender yourselves fools!!”, Starscream shrieked.
“Me Grimlock not know meaning of surrender. “, Grimlock said as he then let loose with a blast of laser breath that hit Starscream in the jet engines. “Me Grimlock also have bad breath. Bad for you!!”
Arcee and Jazz also had Scourge and Cyclonus on the ropes when Scourge gave a signal and the two Destrons started smiling. Arcee and Jazz saw hordes and hordes of sweeps coming at them. All the Destrons and Cybertrons saw them coming and the Cybertrons were soon on the defensive and being overwhelmed by superior numbers.
“Well Fortress Maximus. What do you have to say for yourself now?”, Scorpinok said gloatingly.
Fort Max couldn’t think of anything to say until he heard a voice saying, “Yo Joe!”. A sound came from over the ridge that sounded like motorcycles. The Night Rangers?, Jason thought.
No I don’t think so, Fort Max said and smiled as motorcycle riding robots were racing down ready to help deal with the sweeps.
“People, let’s work on the dirt not on the shine!”, Wreck-Gar of the Junkions ordered and soon the battle was back on with the sides even.
The zords stood triumphant beating out the Gestaults and Omega Supreme lay inert. “Not bad”, Carter said from the cockpit of the megazord.
“For beginners. “, Ravage said from his fighter. “At least Kincaid and Miss Stewart showed the necessary discretion in dealing with the gestaults.”
The Lightspeeds were starting to get steamed and Kelsey blew her top. “Now look here you…. reject from Cat Chow. We try to fight these guys the best way we can…”
“Which wasn’t good enough!”, Ravage countered. “You need to develop more of a hard edge as well as learning to fight with your head instead of your fists. The karate styles you do are good, but unless you can apply them….”

Ravage listened to the rangers and he admitted that they had some good points. He was part of a team when he was with Soundwave’s cassete force as well as with the Rogues. But he also had some moments where he had to go it alone. “But what happens when you don’t have a team to fall back on?”, Ravage asked.
This incited a shouting match that Kincaid, the Night Rangers and the Blunder Rangers wanted no part of. Kincaid was too busy having an uneasy feeling about something coming. A feeling shared by all the Night Rangers as it came upon them and stopped Ravage and the Lightspeeds from arguing.
“Uhhh guys? You might want to take a look at this. “, Kyle said to the Lightspeeds and Rogues.
Everyone looked to see a giant dinosaur come crashing down on the surface of Cybertron. It roared and was blasting everything in sight. Zords, Rogues, anything. It was only due to fast skill and speed that the rangers and rogues were able to get their equipment out of the path of fire. Except for the Blunder Megazord which was squashed flatter than a pancake. Carter brought over the Omega Megazord and shook the flattened Megazord like a rug allowing it to return to its normal dimensions
“What is that thing?”, Jessica asked.
Ravage looked up and knew exactly what the monstrous menace was. “Trypticon. “, he said.
Hot Rod looked down at the Targetmaster rangers being made into weapons for his friends Blurr, Kup, Pointblank, Sureshot and himself. Doubledealer was in another chamber ready to be bonded to Zhane and Karone.
“Kind of reminds me of when the Nebulans underwent the process don’t it?”, Kup said.
“Yeah Kup. Only this time this old story is one we’ve both lived through. “, Hot Rod said. Kup let out a small chuckle at Hot Rod’s little joke but Hot Rod seemed to drift out of it the next second later.
“Yeah Hot Rod, I know you’re young but you’ve seen quite a bit of action yourself over the Astrocycles. Why I remember when… “, Kup broke off when he saw Hot Rod fall over. “First Aid!!!We’ve got another patient for you!”
The other Cybertrons lifted Hot Rod and carried him into the medical bay. First Aid began the diagnostic. “I can’t explain this. His body systems show he’s fine. His life force however is gone.”
“What?”, Pointblank asked surprised. “Where is it?”
First Aid just shrugged his shoulders. “Your guess is as good as mine.
Galvatron was cleaning Prime’s clock as he shot blow after blow into Prime. “Soon Optimus!! SOON YOU SHALL BE DEAD AGAIN!!!!AND THIS TIME THERE WILL BE NO COMING BACK!!!”
Optimus managed to bring his leg up to throw Galvatron back. Galvatron flew a good couple of feet and landed hard which only served to increase his rage. “You shall pay for that Cybertron!!!NO ONE DOES THAT TO GALVATRON!!!!”
Optimus however couldn’t stand anymore and he fell to the ground in pain. Galvatron did not notice this as he came to charge the downed Cybertron. As Galvatron was rushing Prime an energy burst cut right into his path. “WHO DARES TO FIRE AT ME!!!WHO DARES TO DENY GALVATRON THE VICTORY HE SO DESIRES?!!!”
“I do!”, Galvatron turned up to see the form of Megatron standing above with his cannon smoking after the recent firing.
“So Megatron. “, Galvatron sneered. “Are you here to save your newfound friend?”Megatron cringed as Galvatron said ‘friend’.
“No Galvatron. I think you know why I am here. “, Megatron said. “For millions of years I have sought to destroy Optimus Prime. And while I had once, I find I could not extinguish his spark. This time however, I can do that.”
“Really? And what makes you think I’ll let you?”, Galvatron sneered.
Megatron smiled. “I’d consider it a personal favor if I could destroy the transformer that compelled me to surrender to the Autobots. “, he directed that comment at Prime. “That decision is one that eats at my spark each and every day.”
Optimus was about to protest but he saw a gleam in Megatron’s optical sensor. The former Decepticon leader was up to something. Prime remained quiet as Galvatron looked down at him. “Very well Megatron. You have your wish.”
“Thank you Mighty Galvatron. “, Megatron said as he turned his cannon towards Prime. Galvatron looked down smiling at Prime. “Time to say goodbye Prime!”, he said with an evil sneer.
Megatron aimed his cannon at Prime but then turned to point it at Galvatron. “Good bye Prime. “, Optimus said. A burst of fusion energy shot out of Megatron’s shoulder cannon into Galvatron’s side. Galvatron was shocked to say the least.
“Megatron, what are you doing? Why aren’t you destroying Optimus Prime?”, Galvatron asked shocked.
“I said I wanted to destroy the Transformer who caused me to surrender to the Autobots. I’m looking at him!!!” Megatron charged the mad Destron and punched Galvatron so silly that Galvatron couldn’t get in any shots. It was like Megatron was Mike Tyson and Galvatron was Michael Sphinks.
Megatron spoke during his attack. “Because of you and your insane leadership the Decepticons were left as a straggling few. We were the joke of the universe unable to even hit a medical transport effectively. You embarrassed the Decepticon cause no end that the only way to save it was to surrender rather than avoid humiliation and genocide under your hands.
“I hate you Galvatron!!! I hate you more than any creature in the universe and beyond. And I won’t stop until you suffer for every ounce of humiliation the Decepticons suffered in your name.” Megatron delivered his blows with authority driving Galvatron back to the ledge. When Galvatron was at the edge, he was staggaring. Megatron smiled and readied one last punch. He delivered an uppercut that sent Galvatron over landing on two floors before falling into a seemingly bottomless hole.
“How do you feel Mighty Galvatron?”, Megatron asked mocking the time Starscream said those same words to him on that fateful day after Autobot City which would have begun Megatron’s descent into madness and the birth of Galvatron. As Megatron looked to see Galvatron’s fallen body he then stopped and turned to see Prime laying on the ground. Megatron transformed into tank mode and set Prime on top.

Galvatron II was still meditating as he focused on the fall of his namesake. As Galvatron fell into the heart of Cybertron so did his spark from Galvatron II’s detection. Galvatron II then smiled as he thought of his namesake’s apparent demise.
“Now. The universe shall truly tremble. “, Galvatron II promised planning the future as the Matrix of Evil shined in his grasp.
In the communications tower Soundwave and Blaster were doing their job of monitoring the battle. Prancer looked on at the landscape of Cybertron ready to wig out. “Ohlikewowman. Thisplanetissooooofftheheinosityscale. Imeanlikeit’ssooodullandsquareandtotallylackingany styleorfashionsenceya’know.”
“Silence!”, Soundwave said nearby. “I am picking up transmissions.” Soundwave transformed into his cassette player mode and picked up transmissions from Ravage. “Soundwave. We are under attack. Trypticon… “, the signal broke off after that.
Prancer then slowed down as she suddenly became very afraid at the mention of Trypticon, or the feeling of something bad happening. “Like… What is Trypticon?”, she asked.
Blaster turned to the young shopaholic and said, “Bad news little girl. Trypticon is bad news. “The video image came on and Trypticon was shown destroying ships. Megazords barely came over the giant monster’s ankle as they drove zords back… even the Night Zords.
“Man, I’ve… I’ve like got to totally do something. “, Prancer said with worry and determination in her voice.
“Admirable. “, Soundwave replied. “But what can you do?”
“This.” Prancer then took her morphing pose and called out “It’s like Morphin Time!!”
“FASHION EMERGENCY!!!”
Where Prancer “Princess” Dancer stood was now the Ranger of Style. She had a white and silver costume with white skirt and boots with silver trim. Also on her right arm was a pocket full of colored cards with the logos V
The Megazords were having a hard time with Trypticon to say the least. Slashes with the Megasaber had no effect. There was no place for Kincaid to latch on with the soulwhip of the Demonzord. Even with the Night Megazord completely together they were having problems with Trypticon.
Kincaid reorganized himself and was trying to think of a plan when he heard a voice saying “HEY YOU REEEEKAZOID!!!” Everyone looked up to see Prancer standing on top of a building looking down at Trypticon.
“Allrightyouovergrownbagofheinosity. Preparetobelike markeddown!!!”, she said as she drew out the cards from her sleeve pocket. “Charge cards MAX OUT!!!”, she threw the cards into Trypticon’s eyes as she jumped up into the air. The big Destron was temporarily blinded as Prancer stood on top.
“Allright!IneedlikeShopperzordpowernow!”, Prancer called out to her zord. And coming towards the battle was a zord that looked like… well a teenager with a shopping bag and purse. Prancer jumped up into the air and boarded the zord’s cockpit.
“Allright. Trypticonyou’reabouttobelikereducedinprice!”, Prancer called out as she reached into her zord’s shopping bag and pulled out a can of motor oil that she spilled onto the ground. Motor oil that seemed to have no end until Prancer had the zord turn the can back up and put it in the bag. Trypticon lost his footing and started to fall. He hit the ground and hit it hard.
“Quakerstate10w40!$29. 99atlikeNapa. NowaywouldIlike gotoWal-mart!”, Prancer said.
“Good work Prancer!”, Bulk said as the Blunder Megazord took out sticks of Dynamite, lit them and threw them down Trypticon’s throat. An explosion occured in Trypticon’s stomach and Trypticon suddenly didn’t feel very well.
“Great job Prancer!”, Carter called out.
“Yeah, like welcome to the team. “, Skull called out.
Prancer was so overwhelmed with emotion that she slowed down her talking again. “Wow, thanks guys.”
The battle suddenly converged where Fortress Maximus and his team were fighting. Darkwing and Dreadwind had joined the fight as had Armada units, Seeker units, more Sweeps and Insecticon clones. There just weren’t many Junkions to go around.
“Well this has all the warmth of a Dick Clark special!”, Wreck-Gar said sounding like the T. V. watching gecko Gex from his video game.
“I know Wreck-Gar. I hope the Targetmasters get here soon. “, Jason said.
Unknown to Jason the Targetmasters were ready, as was Andros who was the partner to Hot Rod. But Hot Rod himself wasn’t ready as he still lay in a coma. Zhane and Karone also stood with Doubledealer who had been finished with the binary bonding proceedure. By Hot Rod’s side Optimus Prime lay on the medical bed as Megatron brought him in. Fixit and First Aid began work right away.
“Hey gang!”, Blaster called out. “This is Blaster blastin’ at ‘cha. Fortress Maximus is in dire need of help. Forces are pinning him and his forces down. It’s one big free for all.”
“We gotta get out there. “, Kup said.
“But what about Hot Rod?”, Ashley asked.
He’dwantustokeepgoing!Yeshewould. Don’tthinkIthink HotRod’sdeadcausehe’snot. Iknowso. Soonhe’llbeback. Youwaitandseehe’llbeback”, Blurr said.
“Well team. I guess we’d better get out there. “, T. J. said. “Transform!” All the rangers, except for Zhane and Karone who transformed into Doubledealer’s engines, transformed into weapons. Kup picked up T. J. . Carlos had Blurr. Ashley was the weapon of Sureshot, while Cassie became the gun of Pointblank. Zhane and Karone mounted on as Doubledealer’s dual power source.
“Time to earn my pay. “, Doubledealer said as he transformed into his falcon mode and took to the sky. The other Cybertrons transformed and rolled after Doubledealer.
Andros was left behind looking at Hot Rod wondering what was going on in his head.
He travelled down a path of light. Taking him somewhere he did not know, yet somehow did know. “Is this the matrix?”, Hot Rod asked.
The journey came to an end and Hot Rod saw himself looking at seven objects that looked like the Matrix. Holding one was Optimus Prime who looked like he was holding the Matrix of Leadership. There appeared to be six other matrixes but no one held them yet as they stood without bearers.
Just as Hot Rod’s confusion started to mount a face appeared. A face that Hot Rod and every Transformer knew, a face much like his own. It was the face of the Transformer god Primus.
“The time is coming. “, Primus spoke. “The quest is at hand. The chosen must assemble, and journey across the gulfs of worlds.”
Looking down at Hot Rod he saw the spirit within him and knew that he was one of the chosen. One of the matrixes even semed to glow as he came to it. Primus spoke again.
“Find the aspect. Find me.”
Then Hot Rod felt himself being swept away back to the reality he knew but he still heard Primus speak one last time. Words that Hot Rod only heard once but changed his life nonetheless, and would change it again.
“Arise Rodimus Prime!”
Tommy stood with Andros who was looking up at Hot Rod. “I know how you feel man. I wish I was out there with ’em now.”
Andros nodded thankful for Tommy’s support then they noticed Hot Rod start to glow a bluish color then become larger as his paint job changed. He was now more brown instead of purple and his features spoke of one more mature. Optimus lay nearby hooked up to a life support system and saw the change in Hot Rod.
“At last you have returned Rodimus Prime. It is time for the prophesy. “, Optimus said.
Rodimus nodded to his mentor then turned to Andros. “There is a battle to be won.” He hten transformed into his truck mode and rolled out leaving Tommy and the damaged Optimus behind.
“Boy am I glad to see you guys. “, Fort Max said as Kup, Sureshot, Blurr, Crosshairs and Doubledealer joined the fray. “Let ’em have it!”, Max ordered.
Soon everyone joined in the battle. Rogues, Night Rangers, Lightspeeds, and Blunder Rangers were fighting again as the gestaults reformed. Kincaid, Jessica, Carter, and Bulk all brought their weapons to bear Devastator joined the party.
With Trypticon and Omega Supreme out of the way the battle was slightly easier, or so they thought as the gestaults on the Destron side were fighting with more edge. Kincaid, Carter and Jessica cut loose with the Demonzord’s whip and swords but the gestaults kept up the attack.
A roar of an engine was then heard not far away. Kup turned to see and found the Rodimus Prime was racing towards the battle and jumped in firing as he transformed to warrior mode. His weapon Andros firing as Rodimus locked on a target.
“Yeah kid. Knock their sensors out. “, Kup cheered on as Rodimus fought a battle like a machine in overdrive. The other Cybertrons and Rangers were rallied together and followed up on Rodimus’s offensive. The Destrons found themselves driven back and Scorpinok gave the order to retreat. The Cybertrons and rangers all rallied behind Rodimus and those that knew him wondered how was it that Rodimus Prime could live again. “Optimus isn’t dead again is he?”, Pointblank asked.
“No, but he is in the medical ward. We should head back there is much to tell.” All the Cybertrons transformed and headed back to where their leader was trying to heal.
The Destrons were retreating. They were loading up every ship they had and were pulling out of the attack. Cyclonus and Scourge looked for Galvatron but he was nowhere to be found. A sweep then came up and presented Galvatron’s cannon, but they said no body had been found. The sweeps tried to search as best they could from where Galvatron fought Optimus Prime but they found no body.
Realizing they had no other choice but to leave Cyclonus and Scourge made ready to retreat. Scorpinok took on boarders as had Astrotrain, Starscream, Trypticon, Omega Supreme, and all the flying Destrons as they made their way to Galvatron’s ship. Soon all the Destrons had left… except one.
A voice had cracked a death knell as the occupant lay in an isolated part of Cybertron. Holding on to one last spark of life yet so close near death. It watched the departing Destrons and he called out to them.
“Uhhhh…. Cyclonus…. . Scourge…. . don’t leave me…. “, the once mighty Destron leader Galvatron said.
In the medical wing of Cybertron Optimus Prime lay on the diagnostic bed as medics go over his body trying to save him. Megatron, Andros, Ashley, Kincaid, Carter, Leo, Ultra Magnus, Tommy, Jason and Dana stood by watching.
Perceptor transformed back to his robot mode after his scan was complete. “There is nothing more I can do. His permanent shutdown is only a few hours away.”
Everyone in the bay looked down at the fallen warrior with a measure of respect and sadness. Rangers saw what many aspired to be, and they hoped that they would one day become. Ultra Magnus saw an old comrade who would be departing the world soon.
Megatron looked down and saw a warrior whom he had faced many times. He had always respected Optimus Prime’s courage and dedication to what he believed in, as well as his fighting skills as a warrior. Skills that will be necessary in the coming battle ahead. I can’t let Prime die.
“Perceptor, is it possible to rebuild Optimus Prime’s body so that it may be hooked up to his old Powermaster transector?”, Megatron asked. Perceptor looked as if Megatron had grown a second head.
“What? Are you serious?”
“Just answer the question Perceptor. “, Megatron said losing patience.
“Well, yes it’s possible. But there would be no point. “, Perceptor responded. “We have no one to binary bond him to.”
“Yes you do. “, Tommy said stepping forward. “I’ll bond myself to Optimus Prime.”
Megatron then turned to Perceptor. “I’ve called forth Grapple, First Aid, Hoist, and the Constructcons to help. Will they be able to assist you?” Perceptor nodded.
“Then begin work immediately. “, Megatron ordered as Perceptor prepared for surgery. Hoist, Grapple, First Aid and the Constructicons then arrived and work began to repair Optimus Prime. Andros and Ashley then led Tommy down the hall as they headed down to the bonding chamber. “Don’t worry Tommy. “, Ashley said. “It won’t kill you.”
Andros and tommy let out half smiles as they picked up on Ashley’s joke. “Very funny Ash. “, Tommy said. “Very funny.”
In the Autobot communications lab Blaster sat behind his terminal listening to all the incoming communications traffic, even the rock stations from the different planets when Soundwave came in. “Yo waves what’s crashin?”
Soundwave sat behind the monitor with Blaster. “I am remembering the battle we had just endured. It was most distressing to see my cassetes siding with Galvatron.
Blaster sighed. “Yeah I know. I just can’t figure why Eject and Ramhorn would join a monster like Galvatron.”
“It is an insane choice. But then Galvatron is an insane leader. “, Soundwave said. Blaster gave no disagreement there. Then the priority one call came in.
“Ratbat is transmitting. “, Soundwave said. Blaster transformed into his boombox mode and hooked up to the main computer allowing the images to be broadcast. Soundwave then called the council chamber. “Megatron turn to the viewscreen quick Ratbat is sending an emergency transmission. “Soundwave knew the reason must be urgent for emergency transmission. Usually Ratbat or another cassette would just flyback with data they obtained. But if the emergency trasmission code was used then it must be something that can’t wait.
On the viewer stood a gathering of evil. Ravage recognized one of them as the second Galvatron he had to deal with before. Also there were Evil Q, Destructor, Zanzibar, Zedd, Rita, Divatox, Bansheera, Trakeena and Imperator. They were all looking at the object occupying the center of the viewscreen, Ultra Magnus and Megatron knew right away what it was as they watched from the council Chambers with Kincaid, Carter, Leo, Bulk, Jason, Andros and their teams.
The object in the viewscreen was none other than the Matrix of Evil. And the second Galvatron was speaking about it.
“We need more dark energy to bring the Matrix of Evil to full power.” Galvatron II said. “Therefore we shall take advantage of being between dimensions and begin to acquire more energy to feed the matrix.”
“We shall avenge the loss of our leader Galvatron!”, Cyclonus said.
“And then the multiverse shall know our wrath. “, Diabolico said until Soundblaster interrupted. “We are not alone. “, the black cassete player had said. Then a signal erupted and the video feed was lost.
In the communications room Soundwave felt a wave of despair cross over him. Another one of his children lost. Blaster felt the same rage, sharing the pain of one of his ‘children’ left for an insane cause.
“Damn that Galvatron. “, Blaster cursed. “Both of them.”
“It appears I underestimated my predecessor Soundblaster. “, Soundwave said. “It is a mistake I shall not repeat again.”
Megatron also turned off the viewer and turned to the council. “So the stakes have been raised. Galvatron II has the Matrix of Evil and he is looking to increase its power by way of the evil of other realms.”
Thundercracker gave a Transformer equivalent of a shiver. “Jeez, I’ve heard horror stories about that thing. How can we stand against that?”
“There is a way. “, a voice boomed throughout the chamber. All heads turned to see Optimus Prime again. All decked out in his full Powermaster armor. Weapons on both hands and on his shoulders and his size practically the equivalent of Scorpinok’s should it have ever come to that. From the chest component came an object that transformed as it fell. In white and red armor Tommy Oliver transformed and landed on the ground.
“Guess who’s back. “, Tommy said. Kat saw Tommy and rushed up to hug her boyfriend as well as the other Master Rangers glad to see Tommy back in the saddle again.
“Welcome back bro. “, Jason said and the other rangers shared the statement until Prime spoke up again.
“Rangers, As I have said there is a way to beat Evil Q all we must do is find it.”
Zhane turned up to look at Prime. No offence Optimus but what do you mean?”
“Look on the viewscreen Zhane. “, Prime said as a picture of the Matrix of Leadership appeared on the screen. “For those of you who aren’t familiar with this object this is the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. It is a vessel of great power and wisdom. It was with this that Unicron was destroyed by Rodimus Prime.”
Rodimus nodded, his partner Andros stood with him as Prime spoke again. “But it has been rumored that the Matrix of Leadership was only one in a chain of seven matrixes. These Matrixes were called the Matrix of Creation, the Matrix of Synergy, the Matrix of Power, the Matrix of Spirit, the Matrix of Reality , and the Martix of Humor.”
Everyone turned their heads at the mention of that last one. Prime nodded in understanding. “It was Primus’s idea. We must remember that it may be possible that our gods were at one time one of us. But we must discuss theology another time.
“Primus knew the Matrixes would be needed someday and he linked them all to a central matrix that exists beneath the citadel here, but due to an attack by an unknown force Primus had to scatter the Matrixes across the dimensions to avoid them falling into the wrong hands. Primus only kept the Matrix of Leadership knowing that it would be needed someday, but the other matrixes were scattered across space, time and reality waiting until they can be reunited and help light our darkest hour.”
“These matrixes do exist. “, Rodimus said. “I saw them myself in a vision. Primus was there and he also helped me to once again become Rodimus Prime.”
Kim then spoke up. “Okay, we know there are matrixes and that when they are united they will help us destroy this Matrix of Evil and Evil Q’s plan so how do we find them?”
“I believe I can answer that. “, came the voice of Q who teleported in with Baba. Baba looked over the rangers and cast a look at Billy as he discovered who his Binary bond partner was. Baba then turned to everyone and said “Remind me to introduce your scientists to a group of humans called the Yosties.”
“OhwowIamlikeSOOOOtotallyawedbythattrickyoulikejust pulled. Doyoudolikemagictrickstoo?”, Prancer asked Q and Baba.
Q smiled mischeviously as he looked at Baba then back at Prancer. “As a matter of fact I do. “, he then turned his clothes into that of a traditional magician’s tux complete with magic hat. The only difference was instead of a sword he had Baba. “Now watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.”
All the rangers rolled their eyes except for Prancer who was going giddy with excitement. “Ohgoodygoodygoody. ThisislikethemostcoolestthingI’ve everseen.”
Tommy then went up to Prancer and said, “You don’t get out much do you?”
Q brought up his hat and looked inside. “Oh wait. I forgot my rabbit.” He then snapped his fingers and in a flash of light Prancer’s clothes turned into that of a Playboy bunny with bunny ears, swimsuit, and a cotton tail on her rear. “Nice Baba but not what I had in mind. “, Q said. Then he reached into the hat and pulled out a tow line. Q was wondering what that was about until he heard the sound of something falling, and before he knew it an anvil had struck him on the head flattening it like a pancake.
“OhwowIamlikesooooosorry. “, Prancer said as the other rangers and Cybertrons chuckled. Bulk and Skull exchanged a look that indicated that they might have had something to do with Baba and Q’s trick backfiring.
“Nowcouldlikeyoupleaseturnmyclothesback?It’slikeso totallyhardtoreplacecashmere. Andit’salsototallyeskimo seasonhere.” She then started shivering in the skimpy bunny outfit then Baba pointed at Prancer and put her in a three layered fur coat and Parka that made her look like an eskimo.
“OHHH!!Thissotottalyreeksofheinosity!”, Prancer said. “Where’smy$100dollarcashmerejacketandshoesfromgeorgio? Daddywillbesoopissedatyouif…. . my…. clothes… are…… not… returned…. . to…. me…. “, Prancer noticed her voice slowing down as if her whole body was moving in slow motion.
Tommy felt his rage boil over as he recognized Baba’s antics until Prime calmed him down Do not worry my young friend. There are ways to deal with these situations. Apparently Optimus was already having a calming effect on him as Prime turned to face Q.
“Please restore Miss Dancer to normal. “, Prime asked. “She is doing no one any good if she is being someone else’s plaything.” Q nodded and Baba agreed. At the snap of his fingers Q restored Prancer’s clothes to normal and her voice was back to normal. “Wow, likethanksbigredrobot. Youarelikethecoolestguy I’veevermetyouknow.”
“Thank you Miss Dancer but we must get to business.” Turning to Q Prime asked, “How can you help us?”
Q then stood like a college professor ready to give a lecture to his class. “Well I am quite versed in the intricacies of other realities and I know there are some of you that are tied to these matrixes.”
“Yes. “, Prime said. “Many of us Transformers are tied to the matrixes in some form or another.”
“No Prime. “, O said. “I’m not talking about just Transformers. I’m talking about all living creatures. When Primus fought Unicron he was the champion of all life, not just Transformers. He wanted to see all protected. To see all be one.”
“The dictate of the matrix. “, Rodimus said.
“Exactly. “, Q said. “Primus didn’t intend for the matrixes to be used by only transformers. Anyone worthy enough for the power each one represents can use their power. And when they’re used all at once… look out.”
“So what did Primus do with the matrixes?”, Jason asked. “Optimus said something about scattering them across space, time and reality.
“Now this is the interesting part. “, Q said. “Primus hid them in different realities where no one would get to them unless they had permission from the guardians of those worlds.
“Guardians?”, Sureshot asked
“Yes. “, Q said. “For every reality, or series of realities there are guardians who protect their territories. One must obtain permission from these guardians to enter their realm. I believe there are a few who know of one of them-the Evil Pagemistress.”
Kincaid nodded aware of the brief encounter with her at Stygian’s lair. “How do we get to these other realities?”, Prime asked.
“Ah. That’s where the Night Rangers come in. “, Q explained. “They had outfitted their motorcycles with slivers of something called the Nexus Crystal which allows them to travel to different worlds. All you need is one of them on your teams and you will have your round trip ticket.”
“How will we know which reality is the right one?”, Jason asked. “We could be bouncing around forever.”
“There are many of us who have an affinity with the Matrix. Even if we may not be worthy to possess it’s power we are part of it nonetheless. “, Rodimus said. “When we arrive at the reality in question one of us will know it’s there.”
“All right then. “, Prime started to speak. “We have six realities to check. We will separate into teams each carrying equal membership or close to it. Be prepared to depart in 8, 000 astroseconds.” The Transformers and rangers got together to determine who the teams would be and what matrix they would choose to find.
At Stygian’s domain, Galvatron II stood on the balcony adressing the assembled Destrons and evil villians. Not far away Evil Q, Destructor, Zedd and Zanzibar watched as Galvatron II spoke.
“My compatriots and fellow Destrons. I am sure we are all troubled by the loss of one of our founders, leaders and my namesake Galvatron. It was he who had assembled us Destrons together. Decepticon rogues. Autobots with the craving for battle looking to satisfy that craving however possible. If it wasn’t for Galvatron we all would be wandering aimlessly throughout the cosmos.”
Zedd looked on as Galvatron II spoke. “He’s very charismatic. A far cry from the other Galvatron.”
“Believe it or not Galvatron wasn’t always crazy. When he was first created he was quite adjusted. “, Evil Q said then he went back to Galvatron II speaking.
“Galvatron gave us a home. He allowed us to exercise our cravings for battle. And now we have a battle ahead of us.” Taking a pause for dramatic effect Galvatron II said his peace.
“The Cybertrons are looking for the other six matrixes in a search across dimensions. If they find them our way of life and cause will crumble and fall. We cannot allow that to happen!!”, the Destrons howled “NO!!”
“Excellent. “, Galvatron II said with pride. “I have spoken with Evil Q and Destructor. They will team up with us to find and destroy these other matrixes and allow us to acquire means to feed our Matrix of Evil which will feed our ultimate power, the Leviathan!
The massive ship hung outside for all the dark forces to see. All were in awe of its power.
“So then. For the glory of the Destron cause. For the memory of our founder the original Galvatron LET ALL OUR REALITIES TREMBLE!!!” The roar of the crowd was deafening. All the Destrons were ready.
“Break into your teams and prepare to launch. “, Galvatron II ordered. “Our victory is at hand!”
There is a chamber on Cybertron where seven pedistals stood, all linked to a giant centralized version of the matrix. No one was allowed entry to it and throughout the Cybertronian wars it had remained untouched. “This is the central matrix chamber. “, Optimus Prime said making reference to the vast room. “It is believed that when all the matrixes are together they will form and power the Omniversal matrix which stands in the center of the room.”
“This is all fine and dandy. “, Kincaid said. “But what does this have to do with us?”
Optimus responded by opening his chest up and taking out the Matrix of Leadership and placing it on one of the podiums. The room seemed to light up as the Omniversal Matrix fed power to the other podiums and spread their light striking several of the rangers and Transformers. Optimus himself was also struck with a light from a podium and from the patterns of light that hit the rangers, each one casting six different illuminations, Prime knew which ones would go on the quests.
“Wreck-Gar, Greenie Geektastrophe, Poindexter Blastings, Prancer Dancer, Michael Sorrero, Kelsey Winslow, Kai Chen, Damon Henderson, Tanya Sloane, Getaway, Adam Park and Slapdash. The Omniversal Matrix has chosen you to search for the Matrix of humor
Prime moved on to the next chosen ones. “Jessica Stewart, Bretta Powers, Kendrix Morgan, Maya, Zack Taylor, Jazz, Leo Corbett, Ryan Mitchell, Joel Rawlings, Aisha Campbell, Chromedome, Whiplash Speedster, and Arcon Despayre. The Matrix of Reality is the object you shall seek.”
Optimus saw himself glow in the aura of the Matrix of Creation as well as Tommy Oliver, Chad Lee, Kyle Hanorhan, Kimberly Hart, Joyride, Eugene Skullovitch, Katherine Hillard, Arcee, Rodimus Prime, Andros, and Diamondback and he told them so. He then looked on to see those illuminated by the Matrix of Synergy.

J. Johnson, Kup, Trini Kwan and Highbrow. Your search for the Matrix of Strength shall begin immediately. Jason nodded and stood ready.
“I guess all that needs to be said is ‘Let the quests begin!'”, Q said.
The teams gathered all together and headed to the spaceport where ships were waiting. A Junkion transport stood ready to take those searching for the Matrix of Humor. Doubledealer’s ship would carry his team as they searched for the Matrix of Spirit. Jason transformed Fortress Maximus and his team boarded ready to search for the Matrix of Strength. Those that searched for the Matrix of Reality had Jetfire as their guide. Skylynx was boarded by Optimus’s team to find the Matrix of Creation and Ravage came in an old Decepticon cruiser as Kincaid and the others boarded for their quest to find the Matrix of Synergy.
When all the ships launched the Night Rangers focused on the Nexus Crystal fragments in their motorcycles. The vortexes then appeared and each team of Cybertrons and rangers went through to worlds unknown.
As the teams left Megatron stood in the doorway watching the departures. “Good journey. “, was all he said.
Evil Q stood and watched as six ships left on quests of their own. Each one carrying a crew of diverse evil united in one cause, to stop the rangers and destroy anything in their way.
Soon. , Evil Q thought. Soon the multiverse will fall to my power. the thought of destroyed universes or those under his dominion pleased him greatly.
Meanwhile deep in the center of Cybertron a voice was heard. It crawled through the shadows fighting to live driven by madness and fueled by hatred. It continued on a journey looking for any way to survive.
“I… will… be…. avenged!”, the original Galvatron said as he walked down towards the center of Cybertron looking for a way to survive, but lost in his own madness.
