Fatal Fourway Part 2

In orbit above Iocaste, Brainstorm flew to where the signal co-ordinates were located. hey could see nothing. Where is it? Justin asked.

It must be a cloaking device. Ravage said then went to recalibrate the scanners, much to Brainstorm’s chagrin. Hey what are you doing? he asked.

Something you should have done. Use your sensors to penetrate the cloaking device. Ravage continued to work with the sensors until he came up with a silhouette on screen. No one could make out the type of ship before them but they could tell it was impressive enough.

What kind of ship is that? Rocky asked.

We won’t know until we get that shield down. Justin answered. And I think I’ve got an idea on how to do that. Everyone listened in to Justin’s idea.

You remember the theory on cloaking devices and the particles they put out to mask their ships? Justin asked.

And the signal that can be used to bring the cloaking devices down. Yes I remember, unfortunately there is the matter of finding the right signal. Ravage stated.

I’m already on it. Brainstorm said as he went through every signal he could find until he found what he believed was the correct one. I think I’ve got it. Brainstorm said.

Then let’s see if it works. Justin said as he and Brainstorm put their signal to the test and fired onto the cloaked object.

“Alright! The cloaking shield is coming down! Now we’ll find the Matrix!” Justin said.

However once the cloaking shield came down, Brainstorm, Rocky, and Justin let their jaws drop. Even Ravage was surprised but he only let it happen from the small widening of his eyes keeping his surprise internalized.

They were all staring at a very, very, VERY large ship.

“This thing is as big if not bigger than the Ark was!” Bumblebee said through Justin’s mouth.

“There’s just one more thing you forgot to add that makes it different from the Ark…” Ravage said pointing over to the left of the ship.

They saw weapons systems.

“This is a warship.” Ravage said.

Kincaid, Alison, Ashley and Sureshot made their way to where Karone indicated and she immediately took them to where her party saw the Specters land.

Hey isn’t that Black Arachnia? Sureshot asked.

AndRattrap. Don’tyouseeRattrap?It’sRattrapI’mtellingya. Blurr then added.

Quiet Blurr. Carlos said. Soon everyone looked down at the Specters as they brought out their equipment which consisted of weapons, land rovers, rocket packs, they all came prepared for anything.

Any you recognize? Kincaid asked Karone.

A few. I can see an Eltarian, along with your two Cybertrons. ‘ Karone stated making reference to Black Arachnia and Rattrap. I also can make out an Amazonian, a Quad’thra, a Veltorian, and a few I can’t identify.

Well there is a human down there. Bulk said. Two actually.

Karone nodded making reference to Zips. She looks young. But she’s clearly with them.

And what about our other mystery guest? What’s his story? Kincaid asked knowing what the answer would be.

If I didn’t know better. I’d say that is this reality’s version of you. Karone said to Kincaid.

Not far away Titanar looked down at the Specters as well. But from the corner of his eye he noticed the Matrix team as well. ~ Best I stay clear. ~ Titanar thought. ~ If I make a move they’ll know it. Besides, I figure these others could involve themselves as well. Best I have some help. ~ He immediately activated his communicator and Loki answered the call.

Hey Titanar. What’s up? Loki asked.

Rangers are here. Titanar said. We’ve also got some others here that may be a possible threat. Send everyone you can and we can take them out.

Possible threat? Loki asked. What possible threat.

Titanar paused then said Specter Squad members. You remember them?

Loki read about Specter Squad from the I. D. files. He knew they were bad news in their own reality. And if they were involved in this search for the Matrix then the stakes just went higher, but there was something else he needed to check out. Something important.

Loki hesitated for a second then said I’d love to but we’ve got a signal from a bar nearby. There seems to be a Matrix signal nearby. Destructor would be mighty upset if we didn’t check it out.

I will come. Harper said as his voice broke over the comm line. Besides it will be good practice for when I humble Kincaid.

Titanar sighed knowing the importance of finding the Matrix of Synergy before the Ranger team did, but he also knew that taking out the Ranger team was just as important. He also saw Kincaid down below and another who seemed to look like him as well. Titanar seemed to smirk a little as he thought of Harper trying to beat two Kincaids since he had so much trouble with one. Very well Harper, trace my signal and rendezvous at my co-ordinates. Loki, send me as many Tek’Latha as you can spare. Titanar ordered. You can take the rest to check out that bar.

Thank you Titanar. I’ll let Destructor know. Loki said signing off then he contacted Destructor to let him know what’s going on. Destructor saw the opportunity provided for taking out members of the Matrix team, and he also knew the Specters were a threat as well. ~ If there are Specters here then someone else must want the Matrix. It’s the only thing here of any immediate value. ~ he thought.

Grant him the Tek’latha Titanar requires. Destructor ordered. In the meantime check out that bar. Loki nodded and signed off looking back out at the city with Alison Doe by his side.

Do you think they’ll be okay? Alison Doe asked her master.

They’d better. Destructor stated. They’d better.

Sharon was sitting on a barstool just waiting. She had a feeling something was going to happen.

Well now honey looks like we are alone now.

Sharon shook her head as she knew the mutant from before had just come back and was now about try his luck again. ~ Why not? I am bored… and this will take off some stress. ~

So now let’s go… he said taking her hand but was unprepared for Sharon grabbing it and throwing him down to the ground hard.

Sorry but you are so not my type. Sharon said.

The mutant then got up and pulled out his new battle ax. Listen! You are going to come with me and you are going to… And that was all he got to say before he saw Sharon had come up to his face with a cylinder shaped device in her hand and it was in his face.

You back off now. Or you die. Choose wisely. Sharon hissed as she saw the mutant back away from her. Sharon then turned around and started to walk away but apparently the mutant’s pride was very strong as he pulled out a dagger and went to charge her.

I don’t take crap from whores like you! he yelled running at her with her back turned.

If there is one thing I cannot tolerate… She said as she continued walking forward with her back turned but then fired her right handed blaster for a behind the back shot which hit him in his chest. The mutant crumbled to the ground…. it’s people calling me a whore. She turned her head looking at the other patrons. Some knew to respect this girl’s talents but many got her message. ‘Don’t mess with me. ‘

Unfortunately some of them just didn’t get the message as a Quad’thra along with two more mutants had gotten up from their table. Dyne happened to be the one that was going to pay our bill. Maybe we should take it out of you… in blood.

Sharon held out her free hand and motioned to them. As a great man once said, ‘Just… Bring It!’

The two mutants came charging at her, completely ignoring the barkeeps words of taking a fight outside. Meanwhile Sharon was simply dodging the mutants. ~ I’ve seen 12 year old Amazonians move faster and fight harder than these snails. Of course 12 years olds of that society are supposed to be able to kill full grown warriors. ~ She thought. The rule might not apply to this dimension. The Amazonians of her Amazonia had to adapt to the times to stay free from the demons rule and they had succeeded to a point where they were left alone. Plus it helped that they were close to the Nexus Galaxy. Aunt Karone… Her thoughts turned briefly to the voice on the other end of Kincaid’s comm line and of the Karone she knew back home.

Sharon shook her head as she turned her mind back to the fight. There would be time to think about her ‘living’ family at another time. Going into Amazonian fighting style stance she was able to disarm the mutants rather easily. She then hit certain points at their necks to make them fall down completely unconscious. Fortunately they weren’t demons so she didn’t feel the need to kill them.

~ I’m not a murderer. I’ll avoid death if it can at all be done. There a lot of ways to deal with people like these. ~ Sharon thought as she then turned around to face the Quad’thra.

What are you? Some sort of an Amazonian or a groupie? the Quad’thra asked.

Actually I’m an honorary member of their race. Sharon gave a lopsided grin. It was the truth. She had went to Amazonia for part of her training to learn their fighting style as well as pressure point moves.

Eh. Well get ready for your last rites. The Quad’thra said as he walked toward her with a lance and then started his charge.

Sharon however was prepared for the attack as she then pressed a button on her cylinder device and it extended to the length of a quarterstaff which she used to block his weapon and then she used several moves with her quarterstaff to disarm her opponent and then hit him in his knees, chest and then hit him where the sun doesn’t shine but when it did it was shocking the hell out of him.

WAAAHHHH!!! the Quad’thra cried as he was feeling the voltage and then clasped to the ground.

~ Gotta love my Swiss army knife. ~ she smirked as she made it go back to its original state. She looked at all four of her downed ‘opponents’. It had been a nice distraction but hardly a fight as far as she was concerned. She possibly could have gotten rid of them even faster if she really wanted to but she felt like waiting to see if they had any tricks. Unfortunately they didn’t.

Sorry about the mess. Sharon said to the barkeep. ~ Well they didn’t chose wisely at all. I swear can I never get a break from situations like this. ~

Just then the sound of glass breaking came was heard as something Sharon hoped she would never see here had appeared.

~ And once again the Lanrydan family curse strikes again. ~ Shraon groaned. “Dark Assassins.”

“My, aren’t you the mistress of the obvious?”

Sharon turned around and barely avoid getting hit by the shurikens that had been thrown at her but they had hit her weapon and caused it to fall out of her hands and into a far off corner of the room. She as she picked herself off the floor she Tasha, looking smug, standing in the doorway. “I thought it was you I saw earlier. Still you think I’m worried about this so far?”

“SHADOW STRIKE!!!”

Sharon had barely time to jump up to avoid Obsidian coming from behind her. ~ SHIT! He actually mastered the Shadow Sword Style! And I thought he was bad enough when he had his black magic sword!~ Sharon growled as she looked at the one person she hated more than anyone in her life. The great traitor to humanity.

As well as the man that wanted to break her.

“This time Sharon… there is no escape.” Obsidian smirked.

Meanwhile, Ravage, Rocky, Bumblebee and Brainstorm were all in side the ship and were exploring it.

Whoa! This ship is so cool. Bumblebee said in awe.

I will admit, the design seems impressive. Ravage added then he looked over to where Rocky was standing. What are you doing DeSantos?

Hey, I think I’ve found a computer terminal. He shouted as he transformed Brainstorm back to robot mode. TRANSFORM: HEAD ON! Rocky then took the shape of Brainstorm’s head and soon Brainstorm was looking over the terminal his human had found.

No doubt about it. This is a computer terminal. Brainstorm said. If I have enough luck perhaps I can look through this ship’s database and determine what this ship’s mission is.

Do it then! We may not have a lot of time. Ravage ordered. Brainstorm quickly activated an I/O socket in his finger and tried to connect with the computer port in the wall.

However as Brainstorm was tinkering with the computer system’s he had no idea they were being watched.

The unloading was almost complete. Jeff decided he would help out too. Oh you don’t have to do that sweetheart. Raven said in her soothing voice. Jeff smiled saying it was no bother, as well as being grateful that Raven was in one of her ‘best friend’ moments right now.

I like to get busy with the team. Jeff answered. I’m just not the ‘play God’ type of commander.

Yeah, you got enough of that growing up. Zips laughed and added Rattrap told me.

Jeff shot his old friend a look and Rattrap said, Hey she asked. Soon the ship was unloaded and the dune buggy and weapons were all assembled and ready to go. That is until someone decided to take fire on the Specters.

Take cover! Squad Leader Kincaid ordered as blaster fire as blaster fire erupted from the sides.

All the Specters looked around to see some kind of Dark Figures shooting weapons fire of some sort. Their shapes were hard to make out. Only vague silhouettes could be identified.

The Tek’latha had struck.

Oh my god look! Ashley said from behind the barricade. Tek’Latha!

Kincaid nodded confirming the existence of the Dark Assassins that served the being of the same name. Vicious warriors that served evil causes. That probably means the Order is not far away.

You are correct Kincaid. A voice said from above. Looking up everyone saw the warrior Titanar swooping down with his weapon drawn looking to kill a Ranger. Karone however concentrated as she focused on the air around Titanar’s wings, as they grew colder and colder to the point where ice started to form on them weighing the wings down and sending Titanar crashing down to the ground. The old Simian however quickly got back up and shook off the effects of the freezing air and looked to face the Matrix team.

Karone, take Bulk, Blurr, Carlos, Ashley, Alison and Sureshot to give a hand with those guys fighting the Tek’Latha. I’ll handle Titanar here. Kincaid ordered.

You got it. Karone said and soon the others followed Karone’s lead as they drove down to where the Specters were being ambushed leaving Titanar and Kincaid alone.

Well Jeffrey Kincaid. Titanar sneered while taking the lead. I guess I will be saving Harper the trouble of finding you, and beating you.

NOOOOO!!!!! a scream shouted as Titanar was knocked out of the way by an onrushing figure Kincaid knew very well, a figure that wanted to beat Kincaid all by himself. Soon Kincaid was facing Imperator Harper again.

No one is going to beat you but me you hear? Harper glared. I will beat you. I will humble you.

You’re welcome to try bastard. Kincaid said as the two adversaries engaged in another battle in their longstanding feud.

Back at the Demon’s lair bar Sharon was confronting two faces from the past. Her own. “Be smart. Surrender and give me the Matrix of Synergy.” Obsidian said to her.

Sharon rolled her eyes. “Yeah right. And then you’d kill me. Do you take me for an idiot?”

Obsidian chuckled. “There’s a difference between dying quickly and dying a very horrific death.”

“Sorry but I’m not dying today Obsidian… DEMON EDGES!!!” Sharon pulled out her Demon Edges from subspace. She didn’t have to use her full power to call up her personal weapons. She looked at Obsidian who had drawn out his Onyx Saber. Tasha was standing at guard watching this. She decided to let Obsidian have first shot at her but before he could strike Sharon’s wrist comm beeped.

She raised her comm wrist up but before she could do anything Spectra spoke. “Sharon. We have intruders on board…” her voice soon turned into anger when she said, “They are trying to rewire me!”

“Demons or the life signs you picked up from before?” Sharon asked.

“The latter. I’m going to stop them. You want’em dead or alive?”

“Dead as a last option. We don’t know what their story is and I don’t want to start pissing off a whole new bunch of people. Having the demons on our tails is bad enough considering that Obsidian and Tasha are right here.”

“Obsidian! Tasha! They ARE here!”

“Yeah. All the more reason I need you take care of those intruders as soon as possible so we can finish up repairs and get the hell out of here.” Sharon said.

“Keep yourself alive. I’ll take care of…” Spectra then stopped.

“Spectra… Spectra!”

“DAMN IT!” Spectra shouted. “Those morons just destroyed two of my maintenance robots! They are going to pay for this!”

Sharon heard the com line click off and chuckled a little bit despite situation of being out numbered 52 to 1, Obsidian, Tasha and 50 Dark Assassins versus just her.

Whoever had broken into her ship was going to regret ever doing it to begin with once Spectra was done with them.

However there was another being inside the bar at the moment. One who was a silent observer… for the moment.

~ The desires that mortal beings have are always the strongest and most powerful. ~ Luceid thought to herself as she sat at a ready position looking over this. She was invisible to everyone around her simply because she wanted no one to see her. She wouldn’t make a move unless the ones that shadow told her to look over needed help. However she then felt a strong pull and looked over at the corner and saw two female aliens with a want to have a night of love as soon as they got out of this place, hopefully alive.

~ What is a gender anyway?~ Luceid chuckled to herself. ~ After all I have been both female and male in my existence. What matters in this case is that they have the desire to love. ~

And that is what she was. The Guardian of Desire. There were other Guardians of other aspects but only she was left with a physical body. The others had given their bodies up and allowed their powers to be used by others in the form of runes. And over the years she had not only been assuming the forms of male and female but also siding with good and evil. Her first master had been the Demon Boomerang who was on the side of evil. Then there was her second master Anastasia where she had assumed the form of a male and then the cause of good. Her third master had been a youth touched by darkness but used it for good; Ashley Winchester. After Ashley she served good and evil and had been male and female. But her only complaint was that her masters were still only mortal while as she was Desire she was immortal and thus she had no steady companion.

And then she had met Shadow. Now here was a being with a desire so strong that it had been so long since she had felt such a powerful desire.

~ And now I find myself looking at a room with people with so many powerful desires. Is it because they are more than average mortals?~ Luceid thought as she turned her eyes back to the scene before her.

Luceid wondered what Jeffrey Kincaid desired most in his soul… and then she knew what it was.

~ I must have Shadow ask this question for me when he speaks to Kincaid. ‘What do you desire above all else in life?’~ Luceid thought as she then looked for Kincaid. He knew he would return here. He had a desire to learn more about Sharon.

~ Wont he be surprised by what he sees when he gets back her. ~ Luceid mentally chuckled. She knew what Kincaid desired. Now she wondered what he would do when he got here once he saw what kind of trouble Sharon was in.

The Specters were covered behind a ship as the dark assassins known as Tek’Latha seemed to circle around trying to get a bead on them. Unfortunately, they stayed in the Shadows and moved around so much no one could tell where they were.

Oh man these guys are good. Annhilius said trying to get a bead on them, but the Tek’Latha moved too fast to get a good enough lock on them with weapons. Jeff thought about what to do next and had a plan. Black Arachnia, Rattrap, can you get a lock on their movement patterns?

What are you getting at kid? Rattrap asked.

Simple, I want to see if I can get their timing down. Everyone go to Infrared. The Specters followed Kincaid’s command and either took out Infrared goggles or activated their Infrared sensors. They were able to make out the silhouettes of the Tek’Latha and as Jeff thought the movement patterns of the Tek’Latha assassins.

Alright pick your targets. Jeff ordered. Every specter looked at which Tek’Latha, or group of them they wanted to take on. When everyone was ready Jeff ordered NOW!

The Tek’Latha were surprised that their targets were coming at them. Even more surprised when they quickly got the upper hand. Raccharal really tore into one group with so much brute strength that it was believed that they had a couple of broken bones in several places.

Black Arachnia was big for her size but that didn’t stop the Tek’Latha from muscling in on her. However she was swift, and deadly and moved with grace like a martial artist. The Tek’Latha had no chance.

Rattrap and Tsara knew the ins and outs of every fight, which made them a deadly combination. For they could duck and weave, and get in their shots in exactly the right spot. Their opponents always fell to their sneakiness and craftiness, and the Tek’Latha were no different.

Raven saw a group approach her and tried to talk peacefully out of it at first. Look I don’t want any trouble. Why don’t you just walk away and we’ll just forget about this huh? The Tek’Latha continued to advance ignoring Raven’s please. Then she unexpectedly sneered and said Okay I did warn you!

A gelatinous arm protruded from Raven and encircled the Tek’Latha that were surrounding her and soon the life was being squeezed out of them. They all fell limp to the ground and Raven stood victorious over them.

Slasha abhorred combat. She didn’t want to get involved in a fight, but when backed against a corner she had no choice. Closing her eyes she tried to be calm and retain her focus so that her quarries were not severely injured. Then when she seemed calm enough she then went into combat with her Tek’Latha. Quickly picking her spot she landed blows where they would not be greatly injured, only incapacitated.

But then, broken legs were kind of an incapacitation.

Annhilius looked at those surrounding him. Hmmm. Dark warriors. I assume you are very interested in hand to hand combat? The Tek’Latha didn’t answer.

But then they didn’t have to, for Annhilius had his own answer. From his hands two rifle like blasters appeared in his hands, and both let out a stream of energy pulses in rapid succession cutting down the Tek’Latha quickly. Annhilius then looked down at his handiwork and nodded as he found it good.

Zips was racing around using her youthful energy and exuberance to confuse the Tek’Latha as she flew around them on her hover board. YAHOO!!! YEE HAAA!!! she screamed as she had her fun and confusing the Tek’Latha at the same time.

Which allowed Ven’ya to pick off the targets like ducks in a shooting gallery. May the dark master of the seven galaxies have mercy on your dark souls. He said praying to the evil gods of Parvios 3. Since he didn’t know who the Tek’Latha’s gods were, he figured he would just pick one to send their souls to- if they had any.

Then came Jeff who stared at his Tek’Latha wondering what they would do first. He didn’t know, nor did he want to wait to find out. ~ Besides, I haven’t had a good workout in a long time. ~ he thought as he took off his jacket and got into a fighting stance. He then launched himself towards the dark assassins, and let loose with an array of brutal fighting moves that brought down the Tek’Latha quick.

If there was one thing that a Jeff Kincaid in any reality would have in common, it would be to end a battle as quickly as possible. If that meant brutality be used then so be it. The assassins facing him were soon brought down, except for one who tried to sneak in behind, only to be gunned down by a shot from behind. Jeff quickly turned around to face the shooter.

What took you so long? Jeff asked Stitches who held her rifle that picked off the last Tek’Latha.

You seemed to have things well in hand. Stitches said. Besides, gun wanted to wait to shoot. Didn’t you gun? Jeff looked at Stitches fondle her laser rifle as if it was a child to her, and Jeff rolled his eyes at how unusual that looked.

Then he looked at his team and realized that they too were unusual in their own ways, and he smiled when he realized that that might just have been a good thing.

The Matrix team had their own problems to deal with, as a second group of Tek’Latha appeared to fight them. But the Matrix team were as ready for the battle as they would be.

First up was Karone, who had three Tek’Latha facing her. She stared at them wondering what to do first, and the Tek’Latha were wondering what she would do first until one decided to draw it’s weapon and attack. That was when Karone knew what she would do.

As the Tek’Latha made ready to deliver its blow Karone dodged and touched it sending a wave of cold that chilled it solid. It fell to the ground stiff, leaving the other two staring in shock. This provided Karone with the opportunity she needed to attack, and with several quick moves the Tek’Latha fell quickly.

And I didn’t even have to morph. Karone said with a smirk.

Ashley stared at her Tek’Latha and wondered if not being able to morph was worth acquiring the Masterforce. Then she smiled as she realized that she didn’t sacrifice her ability to morph, she just had a whole new morph with a whole new set of abilities that it provided.

TRANSFORM! Ashley called out and her Targetmaster armor appeared. GUN ON! She then transformed into Sureshot’s weapon and fired a few shots at the Tek’Latha’s feet. She then transformed back and delivered her combat shots knocking down the Tek’Latha quickly. As she stood victorious over her adversaries Sureshot came up to her in vehicle mode.

Nice moves. Sureshot said.

Thanks. Ashley said. Nice to know I’ve still got it.

Alison however preferred to morph facing the Tek’Latha. Not because she wanted the advantage morphing provided, but because she wanted to show off a little bit.

RAVENNIGHT! she called out morphing into her Yellow Night Ranger uniform. She stared at the three Tek’Latha and called forth some lightning from the sky. Each bolt struck the Tek’Latha down in the chest leaving Yellow Night standing and demorphing the next second later.

Yeah, if you’ve got it flaunt it. Alison said snapping her fingers releasing a set of sparks. A smirk crossing her lips.

Carlos took notice of Ashley’s victory and tried to use the same technique. Unfortunately the Tek’Latha saw the defeat of their bretheren and would not fall for the same trick twice. They quickly regrouped and moved towards him. That was when Blurr made his presence known.

He cut through Carlos and the Tek’Latha so fast the Tek’Latha wondered what could move so fast. That one second of distraction was all Carlos needed to take the Tek’Latha down hand to hand. When it was all over Carlos looked up to Blurr and said Thanks.

Ahhhdon’tmentionit. Itwasnothing. Youdon’thavetothankme. AnyselfrespectingCybertronwouldhavedonethesamething. Sodon’tworryaboutthankingme. Itwasnothing. Blurr said in his traditional rapid speak. Carlos rolled his eyes at how annoying Blurr’s rapid speak was, but then realized he kind of liked it that way. It was just in Blurr’s character.

The Tek’Latha looked at Bulk who looked ready to attack, but as he reared back his fist he then straddlewalked all around the area leaving the Tek’Latha looking confused. The only time… you can do this… and not look like a jerk… is in a pool.

As the Tek’Latha looked on in curiosity and confusion at Bulk’s straddlewalking they didn’t notice the Burger Blunder Ranger coming up and slapping Tek’Latha in the face, giving kicks that looked in poor form, slapped and poked Tek’Latha in the eyes like the three stooges. He even grabbed one’s apparent nipples and twisted them causing the Tek’Latha to scream out in pain. When all was done Burger Ranger stood tall surrounded by his fallen enemies.

You should really watch Steve Oedekerk sometime. He’s a really wacky guy. Bulk said.

That just left Kincaid and Harper facing each other. Harper was smiling, eager for the chance to face Kincaid again. This time Jeff. You will know your place. Harper said gloating.

What place is that? Kincaid asked. I thought my place was what I determined it to be.

No. Your place is with all the other losers in life. And I will be happy to take you there. Harper then stomped his foot on the ground and a streak of magic made it’s way towards Kincaid. Kincaid jumped out of the way as it connected with a nearby dumpster causing it to explode. Kincaid then looked at Harper in surprise as a sneer crossed his face.

I’ve been reading up. Also I’ve got a few other tricks up my sleeve. Harper then telekinetically sent a barrage of debris in Kincaid’s direction that seemed to hit him in all directions. Bursts of pain that struck him sending him into disorientation. And all the while Harper watched sneering.

What’s the matter Jeff? Pressure getting to be a bit too much for you? Where are your spirits now? Where’s all your vaunted power now? When will you realize that I am better than you, and you are nothing? Nothing more than a pathetic loser that deserves to be stepped on by people better than him? People who seize opportunity. People like me. Harper said the last line with condescending superiority, as if he was so sure of himself and his victory. But Jeff Kincaid would not stay down. He refused to stay down.

Calling upon his primal force within himself Kincaid felt his fires burn within him. Getting hotter and hotter, and setting fire to all the debris that touched him. Soon a plume of flame surrounded him and protected Kincaid from Harper’s attack. Kincaid glared at Harper and said straight out, I will never again allow losers like you to define who I am and who I should be. The years of school are over, and I am no longer the little boy you can push around anymore. So I recommend that you stop trying. Am I clear?

Harper looked at Kincaid’s power and ran away like a scalded dog, and soon Titanar and the Tek’latha were driven back. Let’s get back to the bar. Kincaid ordered as his flames died down. There’s something there I want to check out.

Do you mean Sharon? Alison asked coyly.

Kincaid shot Alison a look and got on his motorcycle. Ashley got behind Sureshot’s wheel and Alison got on her ride. Keep an eye on them as much as you can. Karone said. I don’t know if they’re here for the same reason as us, but something tells me we need to know what they’re up to.

We’ll see what we can find out. Karone said nodding at Bulk, Blurr and Carlos. Kincaid then rode off with Ashley and Alison in tow.

Karone can I ask you a question? Ashley asked. Karone nodded.

Can Night Rangers call on their powers unmorphed?

To an extent. Karone said. Kincaid once called upon the Night Powers without a morpher once. The effects were… devastating to say the least. It always helps to have the Ranger aspect present to keep the powers in check.

But what about those fires? Carlos asked. And your cold touch?

We’re always in contact with the primal forces. They just can be stronger when we’re morphed. Now we’ve got some people to watch. Karone then turned back to observing the Specters looking to get back to business. Right now was the time to figure out who the commandos were, not about discussing powers.

The Tek’Latha the Specters were facing were almost totally beaten. Only a few remained and they looked ready to run.

Jeff heard an engine rev not far away and saw a figure ride away for a split second. Tsara who’s that? Jeff asked.

Tsara cast a glance in Jeff’s direction and took something of a telepathic picture. A picture that measured presence and could help identify who potential adversaries could be. After the picture was catalogued in her mind she went back to business of fighting the Tek’Latha.

But there was still something that tinged away at her battle sense. Something familiar.

And she had a strange feeling she knew what it was.

Harper scurried away as fast as he could, muttering curses along the way. That Kincaid. He’d be nothing without that power. But I’ll beat him. I’ll… He never got to complete his sentence due to an old Simian grabbing him and pulled him across the alley and into a wall.

Do not think that you are forgiven! Titanar glared. There are more important things than your vendetta.

Nothing’s more important than beating Kincaid! Harper shouted. He must be beaten! He must be humbled!

Is that right? Well it looks like you may get another chance. Harper wondered what Titanar meant when he pointed down to where the Specter Squad were just beating the Tek’Latha. Harper looked down and saw Jeff among them.

How? Harper asked stunned.

In the many universes, anything is possible. Titanar said. Now we have some Tek’Latha still surviving. Shall we arrange for another strike?

Harper sneered as he saw an opportunity come before him. If he couldn’t humble one Jeff Kincaid he’d humble another. And with that thought he and Titanar moved in, the third wave and surviving Tek’Latha close behind.

The Specters had also driven back their Tek’Latha leaving a few kills behind. Awww. Not many deaders this time. Stitches said. Raccharal also growled his own disapproval. Still a few managed to get impaled by his own bone clubs.

None for me thank you. Slasha said. I never want to kill anyone.

No fear. Others do that for you. Annhilius said. Slasha flashed Annhilius a look that said she didn’t need to hear that, but Jeff quickly broke up the argument with his next orders.

All right, get ready to begin clean up. Squad Leader Kincaid ordered getting back to business. We still have a mission to get to. Everyone followed Kincaid’s order except Tsara who pointed her commander in a direction where his counterpart, Ashley and Alison were riding away. He seemed taken in by the spot until Tsara distracted him. There is also a telepathic signal around. It’s Kerovan.

Meanwhile, just as Tsara picked up on Karone’s telepathic probe Karone picked up being detected. Frell we’ve been made! Karone cursed. Let’s bolt.

Carlos, Bulk and Blurr quickly followed Karone’s lead and rode away a distance. Far enough to get out of the line of observation, but close enough so they could remain in observation of the Specters in case they needed to be.

Tsara uttered a similar curse as Karone and her friends rode away. Frell. They made me out.

Can you isolate who it is? Squad Leader Kincaid asked.

No, they’re still good at putting up barriers. But right now I think they are just curious about us.

What about that other rider? Squad Leader Kincaid asked.

Tsara paused a second then answered her leader’s quarry. I’m not sure, but it seemed familiar. Almost like it was… well… you. Squad Leader Kincaid seemed stunned by the news and Rattrap saw the confused gleam in his eye, even though his face didn’t express very much.

What’s up kid? Rattrap asked Squad Leader Kincaid.

Squad Leader Kincaid looked up to where the Matrix team used to be. I’m not sure. I could have sworn I saw something for a minute.

What is it? Black Arachnia asked.

Squad Leader Kincaid sighed for a minute. If I didn’t know any better I’d swear I saw… me.

And that’s not all! a voice said shooting a bolt of power at Jeff’s feet sending him back a few feet. When Jeff looked back up he saw a purple monster with armor and fangs come down. Jeff looked up at the monster and thought the voice sounded familiar.

Oh come on Jeff. Don’t tell me you had forgotten your old friend Robbie Harper. Harper sneered. I trust my counterpart had as much fun with you as I did. Jeff however looked at Harper and looked confused.

Didn’t I have you executed once? Jeff asked the monster.

The sneer on Harper’s face seemed to wipe away. You had me WHAT?!

Executed. I mean it’s no secret I wanted you dead, but I thought you were decapitated along with the rest of the trash. It was then that Tsara came forward and spoke to Jeff.

Sir, this isn’t the same Harper. He’s from another universe. Jeff seemed interested in what Tsara had to say but a flying tackle from Harper didn’t give Jeff much time to think. And as Harper and Jeff went at it Titanar had the honor of using his Tek’Latha against the other Specters.

TEK’LATHA ATTACK!!! Titanar ordered.

Here we go again. Zips said. Raccharal growled with approval. For him it was more fighting.

At the Demon’s Lair bar everyone seemed to be getting into the fight, including some patrons looking to have a good time by busting a few heads. The fight with some of the Dark Assassins was taken outside, and Sharon quickly found herself grateful for that. She was also grateful for the patrons’ assistance in helping her even the odds as well as taking the fight outside. Now she had room to move, and less people to worry about.

Until she was attacked from behind by a sucker punch from Obsidian. Sharon was quickly knocked down on the floor and Obsidian stood over her leering down as if mocking her. I guess I, like the Empress, always stand on top. He snickered at his obscene pun. Sharon’s face was contorted with disgust at Obsidian’s bad joke, then followed up with, Sorry you’re not my type.

I’m everyone’s type. Obsidian sneered as he made ready to impale Sharon with his sword until a running shoulder block hampered his efforts and threw him back against the wall.

Argh! Obsidian groaned as he hit the wall. Sharon looked back and saw who had ended up coming in.

That’s no way to treat a lady. Kincaid said looking at Obsidian.

Obsidian growled as he looked at the man who had just interfered in his business. Who the hell are you? He then looked over at Tasha to see how she was doing when he saw she had stopped for moment. Tasha what are you doing?

Obsidian, is it me or are we seeing double of a dead woman? Tasha asked as she saw Ashley and Alison also now with Kincaid.

Tasha, this is an alternate reality. There are all sorts of explanations as to why we are seeing doubles of long deceased Astro bitch. Obsidian returned.

Unfortunately for him, he took his eyes of Sharon who had just nailed him in the place where even his armor offers no protect against her kicks.

Don’t you ever call me my mother a bitch again you traitor to humanity!!! Sharon screamed as she then slashed him with both of her Demon Edges and then kicked him right over to Tasha.

Ashley and Alison meanwhile were getting out of the surprise they had been given when they heard Sharon’s words. Did… did she just call me her mother? Ashley asked.

Sounds that way to me. Alison said then added, I guess that makes me Auntie Allie.

No. That makes you both dead! And in your case Ashley Hammond. That will make it twice! Obsidian taunted as he got back to his feet.

No thanks. Been there. Done that! Ashley then squatted down and Alison jumped on Ashley’s back getting into a launch position that sent her flying towards Obsidian. When her left arm was in position she sent a flying clothesline into Obsidian knocking him flat on his butt. Tasha saw Obsidian fall and took cover around the Dark Assassins with her.

Not bad. But you’re going to have to fight to get to me. Dark Assassins ATTACK!!! she ordered. Soon Alison and Ashley were teamed up together while Sharon and Kincaid were working together.

I swear I’m never going to hear the end of this. Kincaid said. Sharon looked curious and wondered why.

Alison is playing with the notion that you and I would make a cute couple. Sharon looked at Kincaid oddly and said, Is something wrong with that?

Only that I’m engaged to be married back home. And my fiancee’ is pregnant with my child. Kincaid said. Sharon then nodded and added, That would be a problem. But right now I’d say we have a bigger problem.

Kincaid noticed the Dark Assassins surrounding them and agreed. You up for taking them down quick?

Always. Sharon said giving Kincaid a smile. She didn’t know why but she felt some sort of connection with this strange man. Something that said they had a lot in common. And as they fought, she took in some glances at Kincaid and watched his style.

~ Hmmm. Shootfighting. No holds barred. Always picks his targets carefully. And incorporates the most brutal attacks possible when it comes to disabling his opponent. ~ she thought taking notice of how Kincaid fought. ~ Not quite like me though. Sure I like to finish a fight quickly, but I do like to have a little finesse. ~

Sharon demonstrated that by doing a cartwheel taking out three Dark Assassins in a row. Then when she was in the center of three more and delivered a series of kicks to them knocking her opponents down. Kincaid snuck a glance at Sharon and thought ~ What a woman. And she’s Ashley and Andros’s daughter?~

Alison and Ashley were also looking at Sharon and were amazed by what they saw. Ashley especially as she saw her ‘daughter’ fight. ~ Wow. And she could be my child. ~ she thought. Alison was also amazed at the beauty and grace Sharon incorporated into her fighting style.

~ Not bad. She must have been doing this all her life. ~ she thought. Soon the Dark Assassins were down and only Sharon and the Matrix team stood.

We’ve got to stop meeting like this. Alison said in jest. Then everyone turned towards Tasha who stood alone. What’s the matter? You have no one left to fight for you?

In response to Alison’s comment, Tasha flung several shurikens right at her face. Alison barely avoided them but she didn’t avoid the punch to her stomach by Tasha.

I fight my own battles girl. Tasha said shoved Alison off of her. However as you are about to see… I am never alone. she then snapped her fingers and more Dark Assassins appeared in the room standing with her and Obsidian who was just recovering himself. She then drew from her side a short ninja sword blade. Now then, I believe you were saying something about not having anyone left to fight for me… how about I take you on right now if you are up to it that is? she said tauntingly.

Before Alison could respond it was then that more warriors had appeared in the Demon’s Lair bar. Warriors Sharon and Tasha didn’t know about, but Kincaid sure did. Tek’Latha.

That must mean the Order’s not far away. Ashley added. This got Tasha and Obsidian’s attention. The Order? but before they could inquire further someone interrupted.

You are correct girl. A voice said from the shadows. A voice that came into full monstrous view.

It was then Sharon’s eyes centered on him. He was dead in her world now but that meant she hated him no less.

The Demon Loki.

The murderer of Cassandra Chan, her ‘aunt’ as well as being given her middle name in honor of her.

And all she felt when she saw him was the need to destroy him.

Tasha saw the look of hatred and rage in Sharon’s eyes and knew what was about to happen…. SHIT! Obsidian get down! as she then took cover.

Sharon then clutched her crystal pendent in her right hand and then smirked as she felt how much she would enjoy this. POWERS OF THE SOUL… IGNITE!!!

And then everything exploded with light.

All eyes were focused on the source of light as they tried to shield their eyes from the brightness of what was happening. Soon the light died down and everyone was greeted to a new sight.

Standing where Sharon had been was a woman wearing a sliver helmet with a black rectangle shape broken by yellow lines on the top front of the helmet. Her eyes were covered by a visor but everything below her nose was exposed. She wore golden body armor with a black oval shape on her chest. On top of the black oval was a silver ‘x’ which had a green circular gem. The bottom parts of the ‘x’ also went down to her waist where they ended and had green circular gems. The body armor fit her completely, and the leggings were silver colored with black line patterns and a green circle on either leg. Golden boots completed the ensemble.

Loki then looked at the woman and asked with a sneer, And who do you think you are goldilocks?

Demon Star Cannon. Was all she said as a silver cannon was then placed into her hands and she then pulled the trigger without hesitation.

Loki took the shot totally head on and was sent through the wall and landed outside of the building. He didn’t get up.

Sharon’s eyes were narrowed as she looked the Dynasty’s Forces and those that had been with Loki. I am the Demon Hunter.

Meanwhile back on the ship, Rocky and Ravage were still trying to figure out the ship’s computer. Come on how much longer will it take? Ravage demanded.

Hey it’s not easy, even with the smartest Cybertron backing you up. Rocky said.

Perhaps I can help. Justin said coming up to Rocky, but then a voice from behind interrupted their work.

“Alright boys. That’s as far as you go.”

Ravage and the others turned around to see a woman with shoulder length rainbow colored hair wearing what appeared to be a uniform of some sort. It was solid black with blue highlights on the sides. Her ice blue eyes looked back at them.

Just then a herd of gold robots started to approach. Ravage then transformed into his Cybertron form of a jaguar and tore into them with savage zeal. When Ravage was finished, all that was left was wreckage and one mad looking woman. Is that your best defense? Ravage sneered.

“I don’t take kindly to people who just come aboard and start destroying my maintenance robots.” She said. Both Rocky and Brainstorm chuckled a little bit, and even Justin and Bumblebee found it funny that Ravage totaled maintenance bots instead of security bots. Glares from both Ravage and the woman silenced the laughter however. “Now then. What are you doing here and tell me now.”

Rocky was about to speak, but Ravage silenced him and said. We don’t have to explain anything to you. He then started towards the door to the main corridor until the door closed and the woman stood in front of Ravage.

“Either get out of my way or you will be joining God soon woman.” Ravage said to her.

“God… I don’t have one.” She said as she put her hand up and then suddenly Ravage, Rocky, Justin and Brainstorm fell down to the ground unable to move.

“What the hell!” Rocky shouted.

“I feel… so heavy…” Justin said. He then tried to transform to Bumblebee, but the gravametric forces were too strong for even Bumblebee and the Cybertron hit the ground unable to move as well.

“Of course you do. I’ve centered gravimetric fields on all of you, making the gravity of yourself be so strong you can’t even move. Here is something you should all be aware of.” She said looking down at them all.

“My name is Spectra and on this ship I am God.”

As Spectra was now taking care of the Cybertronians, she didn’t realize something just yet. Brainstorm’s attempts at rewiring had an unexpected side effect.

That side effect was causing the total repair of another artificial intelligence program. Computer screens in an area of the ship were now online as the second AI program was activated.

It emerged as a hologram. It was a young girl in a red operator uniform, brown hair and blue eyes.

However the most notable feature about her was on her hat was the symbol of the Autobots.

“AI-2 online.” The Autobot hologram spoke. She then yawned as she stretched. Though not needed, AI-2 was programmed with human characteristics. “I wonder what’s happened and where we are? Feels like a while since I was active.”

There was a computer screen nearby and AI-2 began a diagnostic on her systems when she was distracted by a glow of some sort that was causing a glare on the screen. Geez. Can’t a girl perform a diagnostic on her own subsystems without a glare getting in her face?AI-2 turned in the direction of the glare and couldn’t believe what her holographic processors were telling her.

AI-2 eyes went wide as she saw the Matrix of Synergy. For the last two stellar cycles the Matrix had been lost thanks to Gigatron and the Predicons when they attacked Fire Convoy on New Ios, but the Matrix had been lost to both sides in that battle. There had been rumors that the Matrix had recovered by Gigatron recently and that he was using as a template for his own Matrix.

“The Matrix of Evil…” AI-2 muttered. “… I remember. I was currently in a recharge mode when Sharon decided to attack Gigatron’s base on Cybertron when she found out Empress Bansheera was there. I never got a chance to tell Fire Convoy or any of the Autobots about this before… before what though? Why did I go off line?” Going to a terminal AI-2 found her answer. “The Crystalis crashed a few astro cycles ago in this reality. My program must have gone offline during the crash or time warp.”

AI-2 then found in the computer a recent communication between Sharon and Spectra, which made her eyes go wide. “Obsidian? The Demons are here?!” Accessing the ship’s controls she erected security protocols around the Matrix of Synergy. “You stay safe okay.” AI-2 then start rushing to the transwarp communications array systems. “The travel drives may be offline at the moment but the communications array will be functional. I got to get help now before its too late.”

All the Specters were beating back the Tek’Latha again. Even though tired and exhausted they managed to pull it out for one more battle and drove back the Dark Assassins again.

I guess we really showed them who’s boss. Stitches said.

Yeah. All that’s left is tall, dark and ugly. Tsara said looking at Titanar. As Titanar saw the Specters approaching he realized that right now discretion could well be the better part of valor. He looked to see if Harper was nearby, and he was to Titanar’s disappointment.

Because he was fighting the Specter Squad’s version of Jeff Kincaid now.

Well Kincaid. I guess I get to beat another one of you. It may not be the one I want, but having one Kincaid know his place is just as good as another I guess. Harper gloated.

So there is another me around here. Jeff said. Fine, that doesn’t mean you still aren’t off your rocker.

Oh I am just fine thank you. Harper gloated. But since you don’t have powers of your own, that means I can beat you easily. With that Harper fired a burst of Magic at Jeff which he dodged, and then took off in a run as he charged and clotheslined Harper.

Rule one of combat. Never underestimate your opponent. Jeff stated then he pulled out his own energy sword. It could get you killed. Jeff made ready to impale it into Harper’s own heart until Titanar swooped in and carried Harper off the battlefield.

NO! LET ME GO! I HAD HIM I TELL YOU!!! Harper screamed. Titanar sighed as he carried Harper away. The Tek’Latha left behind defeated.

Hey kid. Didn’t you kill that guy once? Rattrap asked Jeff.

Yeah, and now another version of him has taken his place. Jeff added. And he sure has changed himself.

Not for the better if you ask me. Zips said. Did you see how grody he looked.

A monstrous form to reflect his monstrous soul. Ven’ya added. May Dagda have mercy on his soul.

I have a feeling we’re going to be seeing Harper again soon. Jeff said. And we’re not going to like what he’s got up his sleeve next.

All the more reason to find the Matrix and hit the road. Slasha added. With that the Specters went back to work hoping to find the Matrix signals for themselves.

Little did any of them know that one of them was keeping their thoughts well guarded. Thoughts that individual didn’t want the others to know.

Traitorous thoughts.

Back at the Demon’s Lair bar there was so much fighting going on that no one could really keep track of it all. It seemed like for every Dark Assassin or Tek’Latha that showed up another would take their place. She couldn’t even tell if she got in a shot at Loki or not who slowly made his way back into the bar. Or if anyone did.

~ This place is starting to get too crowded. ~ Demon Hunter decided. Even the bar patrons were taking part in the massive brawl that was going on. It was then she saw her decide that Tasha had knocked out of her hands earlier and then found it was still working.

And that’s when she saw the power system for the bar.

~ Like that time on Onyx all over again. ~ she smirked as she set her device to overload at her command and then placed it right at the power system. She then looked at Kincaid who was also in a hand to hand fight with dark warriors and sent him a telepathic signal. ~ I think its time to go. I’ve set a little surprise for our ‘friends’ so I suggest we get out of here now before the odds really do get stacked against us. ~

Kincaid briefly wondered who sent that telepathic signal then realized that it was Sharon. ~ There’s more to her than meets the eye. ~ he thought as he activated his communicator and told Alison and Ashley to clear out, which they did. As they made their way to the door Sharon left a going away present for the Dark Warriors in the bar.

Tasha, Obsidian and Loki took notice of the departing heroes and wondered where they were going, as well as Tasha and Obsidian noticing Loki’s presence. Loki what are you doing here? You are supposed to be dead! Tasha glared.

Hey I’ll tell you I’m alive and kicking thanks. I’m just doing a job for the Order right now.

THE ORDER?! Tasha shrieked at Loki’s statement. You mean to tell me you are with the Order of Destruction? Loki didn’t have time to complete the statement however as a beeping sound was heard and everyone’s eyes were turned on a metal ball that was beeping. When the three villains realized what it was they quickly made their way to the exit door, which they just made their way through.

Moments later the Demon’s Lair went up in a blaze of glory.

Being on the outside of the bar when it blew up had its up and downsides for Loki. It was good for the fact that he didn’t have to take any more beatings from the ‘Demon Hunter’ and he could regain his strength while he managed to stay down.

Unfortunately that didn’t save him from being covered under the rubble that had been the Demon’s Lair.

RAH!!! Loki screamed as he rose through the rubble.

As Loki fought his way out he took notice of the damage around him. Wow that explosive sure had a lot of bang to it. Loki said. He then realized that the Matrix team and their newfound ally were gone. Also gone were those other two and their forces. Quickly Loki got onto his communicator and relayed his information.

Destructor… this is Loki… we have a problem.

What kind of a problem? Destructor growled.

One, someone else is searching for the Matrix other than us and the Night Rangers and two… the Night Rangers just got a very powerful ally. Loki groaned as he clutched his chest. ~ I still can’t believe how much that shot hurt me!~

Return to me. Destructor commanded. I want you to face me when you give this information. Loki swallowed hard as he thought about having to face Destructor personally. Loki cut off the communicator and made his way back to where Destructor waited wishing he could have just talked to him over the comm line.

Destructor looked over the skyline of Iocaste when Alison Doe looked out with him. I already know who they might be. Destructor said.

You do Master? Alison asked.

Yes. Tell me Alison. Do you not see me as the true force of evil? The one who created all the villains in many realities. Who holds all evil within his grasp?Alison nodded at Destructor’s comment. Of course. She said.

Well. There is always another looking to fill that role. And sometimes they follow their own path. Destructor then looked at Alison and asked her, Tell me, do you know where I got the idea for these evil creatures? Alison shook her head no.

Well truth be told they came from another reality. A reality that follows another path different from my own. They had many of the villains I seeded throughout other realities, only these villains never lived up to their full potential. They were more or less regulated to the role of buffoons who lost battle after battle time and time again. It was only through my genius, my drive and my ambition that many of these villains found new direction and the will to back up their own ambitions.

And could this new force also come from this mainstream reality where your ideas came from? Alison asked.

Perhaps or perhaps not. Either way I must be sure. I want you to go to the co-ordinates Loki was at and I want you to scour the wreckage for any sign of this force, as well as any sign of the Matrix as well. Alison bowed acknowledging her Master’s will.

Your will is my command Master. I am yours forever. Alison said as she activated her teleporter leaving Destructor to look out at the Iocastan skyline. Thinking about the force that would dare rival his.

~ Either this new force serves me and the Order, or it is destroyed. It has no other choice. ~ was what Destructor thought.

Back at the site of the bar Loki wasn’t the only one to climb out of the rubble. Others fought their way out as well.

Tasha got up out of the rubble as did Obsidian and a good amount of her Dark Assassins but they saw their quarry had vanished.

Shit! Damn the Order of Destruction! We nearly had her! Obsidian spat.

Obsidian. We still have the Specials in wait and they are tracking the Demon Hunter even as we speak waiting for the right moment to strike.

Obsidian stared back at her. That would have been enough to take her down IF she had been alone. Now we have to deal with the Order AND her new allies or did you forget the three others that came to her aid BEFORE the Order arrived?

Who were they? Tasha asked. I never met them before.

I don’t know, but for now track the Demon Hunter and help the Specials. Obsidian said as he opened up a portal.

And just where are you going? Tasha asked.

Obsidian looked back at her. Back to base and telling the Empress we are going to need some Cybertronian aide if we are to secure the Matrix.

With that Obsidian then left and Tasha then felt a bit better. ~ As my mother’s race says, its not over yet. ~Part 3
